They'll butter you up at first and have you do simple tasks in the beginning, but once your probationary period is up (if you even survive that long at this awful place), they really show their true colors. Management will start expecting you to do a strenuous amount of work outside of your pay grade and training. Their system and the way they operate the warehouse is toxic, heavily dated and only runs on a single server on the other side of the country making their system crash constantly. Even when there isn't any work to do or when the system is down, they will hold you hostage for the remainder of the day (if you're lucky it will come back up at the final hour and they will still make you go back to work). Warehouse manager puts an absurd amount of emphasis from numbers on a system that literally runs on windows 2003 and does not care about you unless you work like a mindless cog. If you're a good enough robot at this facility, they'll reward you with even more work and start having you train new employees without any hopes for a raise unless you unfortunately make it to the new year. 

Tenaquip is a decent place to work. In my position as a desktop publisher, I find that I am given the space to do my work in a fairly autonomous way. I confer with my manager when necessary, but only when there is a rush job do things get hectic. I mean, I'm allowed to listen to music as I work, and that's great.
The benefits are top-notch. An excellent health and drug plan that includes dental. The company has invested a lot in work/life balance programs that are at the disposal of the employees. The company also runs a profit sharing plan, which is great.
There are only a few glaring downsides to the company. One, it doesn't pay much. It's a common complaint from employees. Also, vacation time maxes out at three weeks after five years. Perhaps the biggest drawback though is the fact that the office is incredibly inconvenient to get to if you don't have a car. It's on the western tip of the island of Montreal and public transit does not serve the area very often. There are rush hour buses during the week and a commuter train stop about a 15 minute walk away, but you better have a car.

In my many years working for tenaquip. I’d have to say they are very well organized with their business. Their systems and trainings are easy and great to work with. 
You will learn a lot from this company especially if it’s your first career opportunity. Don’t expect much advancement in position, career development or even salary. But you will learn a lot from the management and staff.  I left simply because I couldn’t see myself working in the same lateral position for the next 3-5 years and let’s not even mention the lack of pay. They can keep their profit sharing and they should bonus their employees as promised and not make excuses especially since this company is growing in double digits annually. 

All in all great work environment, great starting ground. Minor things but important things that they should develop or they will keep loosing bright employees

If you enjoy having to go through 4 mid level managers and procedures to accomplish the simplest of tasks then Tenaquip is for you. Filled with employees who are only trying to justify their positions and not focused on efficiency nor profits. Laughable pay and pay increases. The profit sharing is absurdly small compared to profits made by the company. Very relaxed working atmosphere makes this place almost ok but not quite if you are looking for challenges and advancements. Most managers would be absolutely unqualified for their positions in any other companies. Mediocre pay for a mediocre company. Be ready to be compensated at about 25% lower than the Canadian average for the position. 

A lot of micromanaging and obvious favoritism, the manager is the worst boss I've ever had, no people skills, the lead is on a power trip, they don't like when you take the time off that they give you and will write you up for it. They do yearly raises, but aren't transparent with employees about how they make those decisions. They guilt trip their employees into operating equipment that they aren't certified for, or is dangerous to operate. They also have a huge problem with gossip and drama which they cant get under control so be prepared to be in high school all over again.

This is a family run business that cares about their employees and the community. You are expected to work hard but if you do, you will be rewarded well, and given opportunities to grow - I speak from experience! They offer quarterly profit sharing so I feel like I am benefiting from the company's success. Great heath care benefits and lots of perks. I really enjoy the lunchtime exercise classes, they are very convenient. Always new things to learn and new challenges to keep me motivated.

If your looking for job security and a very enjoyable work environment, this could be the place for you. They have all the social benefits you would come to expect and a nice on site gym. But this comes at the expense of a competitive salary. My advice would be to negotiate hard for higher pay at your job interview since from then on what they give you is what you get. They are pretty firm on their given salaries and don't like to adjust or negotiate.

Fast paced warehouse with good lead hands. Salary wasn't worth the amount of work desired. HR says no to raises. If you get a raise before review month (January) you don't get another raise with the review.
Overall enjoyed working with the team I was with but the pay made me leave. Would go back with my current salary from new job though.

Tenaquip LTD is like most work places, however has a certain type of family feel to it, you meet great people, and get to have a good time with these great people while learning, and working hard towards daily goals. As long as you are getting your work done and giving it your all, day in and day out you will have a good time. 
It can get stressful, but for those people who thrive off of stress and seek responsibility, it is the perfect environment.  It will challenge you, and continue to help you learn new things everyday.
