I would say I have enjoyed working here in general, can't speak for all, but the location that I worked from had great team culture, management is supportive, and helps with your professional growth. I have learnt a lot working here, about myself, skills, and ambition. As many had heard because of the recent layoffs it feels like there isn't a lot of stability, despite record breaking profits each year, it always seems like we "have no budget" for a lot of basic necessities to keep the operations of the business going - as a result, you are expected to wear many hats and take on lots of roles that are not in your role description so we can "save the company money" - again, not sure why this is necessary when the business seems to be making money hand over fist and always boast that they have the highest profit margin in the auto industry... the work hours can be brutal, you are expected to do overtime to complete tasks and push numbers for year end and quarter end etc, but I can't emphasize this enough, because of these challenges you do end up growing a lot and learn a lot, and can act as a good stepping stone for your future career. 

If you can fight through the challenges and tough time, there are good things that can come out of it. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people are the best it’s diverse and good so benefits love it. Very professional good pay stocks benefits on point grown fast and they are good in all they and they worked with you and all sorts of level to progress, your work ethic skills, especially in what department you are in you get to enhance and growth as a individual and as a team member, especially as a leader and the  head supervisor or ops manager you have to have more patience and be fair and go beyond your peers and working smart as well my only working heart.


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with colleagues that do not cooperate and sometimes ridiculous long hours


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Heavenly home love it can’t beat the environment diverse backgrounds, all sorts of good people young and old doesn’t matter we become as one and unifying

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Happy day joyful day always easy breezy for me smooth family always because I stay positive as I wake up to God and sleep to God there’s nothing else can go wrong without God and all the things that you do you prosper that’s the truth.

If you plan to get a promotion, either be best friends with the manager or quit. No jokes, they do not promote from inside. You eşther have to be friends with your manager or they will call people in who has no experience in automotive industry as your sales manager or GM. The managment is the worse abd they can fire you any time without notice. They do not need a reason whatsoever. When you try to let them know what is the problem and how we can improve it. No one listens. I remembered one time I asked to be in ops because I was part time and my customers were bot talking to me for days until I was back. So I taught it would be better if they hired a full time employee as we only need too many ops in weekend. They asked me to sell more in 2 days than ppl who came in for 4-5 days. So that I could go to ops. And they hired people from outside for the job. I even told them that I do not need the 2$/hr raise. I just wanted to feel I was accomplishing stuff. Because once people call in and I do not answer. People started to steal my sales. If you can, just use this company to jump somewhere else. In my 1,5 year journey I have witnessed more than 10 employees left in a 18 employee building. 

Tesla is all about defining and proving yourself every day. 

You can pretty much do whatever role you want as long as you can make a case for it 

In one word , potential,  in a few, amazing energy and high expectations.

Competitive, definitely. But also team building. Like anywhere it’s up to management to find a balance  that is fun and not scuzzy.

The biggest claw back was that it hires a lot from the old school car culture and so retains a lot of that ethos . 

On the service side the culture is still very old school cars and car parts, car service centre / dealership feel  but it has a lot of potential to be more 

On the sales , customer support and management side the same old school car culture is not as pervasive but they are heavily worked and often short staffed. It’s the team work that keeps it going and therefore Tesla as a disruptive force in auto tech and sales has great potential to be a disruptive employer too with the tech bubble levels of care for its employees we saw in the 90ies, it’s biggest fans.

Know yourself before entering should be above every Tesla doorway and you will be fine . It’s a company changing the world on many ways . Sometimes that’s hard , but it doesn’t have to be.

-Too much responsibility for one person to achieve in a day, always needed to do hours sup to meet expectation.
-The company is not thinking/strategizing a lot further ahead, they think only about money and investors which leads to always cut so many employee whiteout giving them the chance to show what they can bring to the company.
- For non-hourly paid employee, the salary is not high enough for the quantity of hour sup that need to be done.
- People are talented, motivated and work hard to achieve goals which make it interesting to work at Tesla.
- Not a lot of process in place which is surprising for such a big company to be such disorganize, every step and guidance of the work that needs to be done is confusing and when you want to instore process they are reluctant to it and don't want any documentation to be written if the process is implemented.

Tesla equity packages were once a huge windfall to early employees who saw their equity values rise to levels beyond their wildest expectations. IMO history will not likely repeat itself for employees joining in the current era, and the current salary rates will leave many employees on a financial hamster wheel in such a HCOL area (especially those with young families).

Combined with intense pressure and long hours, it is an unwelcoming place for those who have started families, and indeed I witnessed colleagues struggle to start and maintain relationships outside of work due to the strenuous and at times all-consuming demands of the workplace culture.

My experience was partially offset by the strong sense of comradery, and kindness shown by the smartest colleagues I've ever had the pleasure of working with.

Get an internship and start your career here, but move on before you've been sucked dry and have run out of time to pursue meaningful relationships.

The hours are very long, the pay is very low for a company that is touted as a premium brand and there is no such thing as a work life balance. The mandate for a technician is that every vehicle must be back on the road within a 24 hour time period. Tesla has a metric measuring one day turnaround. This is great for the customer. Terrible for a shop, what if parts supply falls short, what if tools break, what if my shift ends. Tesla doesn't like people working overtime because it raises overhead. This applies to raises as well, a one percent raise is not even cost of living increase. Giving shares that require 4 years of vesting is given. However that is taken away from you if you quit or are let go as they haven't vested yet, regardless of the fact that those were your bonus.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Driving all the TESLA models and determining which one I will buy in the future. It will be the Model 3 with all the extras.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Detailing, looking for minor imperfections that need fixing before delivery to the customer.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is somewhat awkward as they employ new people every quarter, with only a sprinkling of longer term employees. Most people are in their 30s and 40s.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Routine and boring, unless driving a car from the unloading depot to the warehouse

You'll always start your shift on time, but leaving on time is a different matter. Was a great place to work at provided the long 12 hours. They have since, cut it to 10's and then eventually 8 hour shifts.

The atmosphere is a production/manufacturing environment. There are lots of younger people.

Management is terrible.HR covers the corrupt. Whether you're a senior or a veteran, they treat you like trash; the turnover rate is extremely high.

Favoritism runs very deep, up to supervisor levels, maybe higher.
Leads are constantly sleeping and have known drug usage. Hr does nothing unless you keep pushing higher and higher.
