With multiple small offices around Whistler Village going to work was great and not too repetitive. I learned a great deal about general office administration and computer skills. Management was for the most part wonderful and easy to talk to. The perks of the job were fantastic, with free adventure tours on your day off being a main draw. This aspect is meant to compensate for the lack of benefits and low salary and although it is an enjoyable aspect, it does not quite make up for it. The mostly female staff could at times be cliquey but for the most part was a wonderful team to be a part of.

Raised safety concerns numerous times however they were ignored by each level of management I brought them to, as they were clearly more concerned about wage bill than having appropriate staffing. Also you are expected to work incredibly long shifts with barely any breaks, especially through the longer, hotter summer days. Sometimes would have back to back tours from 8am finishing at 7pm with barely time to drink or eat. 

Also management removed the perks for all staff due to the misdemeanors of a handful of staff who abused the rules, taking away any positives for the staff who followed the rules and respected the value of the perks.

Absolutely would not recommend working for them at all. 

When having many cultures from around the world, a single way of dealing with things is no-exsistant....you need to be adaptable and open to everything. Challenges with weather, either my metres of snow or pure ice to torrential rain, your ability to adapt and change and cater for anyone is paramount. The decisions you make on your job greatly affect the lives you currently have behind you and having up to date and regularly trained advance first aid responders like myself to attend situations when things go bad for anyone other guide on base.

I was in a pretty bad spot that summer hurt my ankle pretty bad and i had to leave my job and go on sick leave because of injury and ended up going on welfare over the lack of work that was available at the time. I got a letter in the mail about joining a 12 week program that help struggling adults look for work . I have learned so much from them understanding people and myself and so much more useful things.

Takes multiple seasons for consideration for full time guide and minimal opportunities to advance beyond a senior guide.  Ideal job for a summer student as the summer months are busy with full time work.  Great staff functions.  With changes in mangers in recent seasons there have been decent leadership improvements.

Expectations for output are high, continuously over-pressure and stressful environment. New Employee on-boarding and training could be more structured, they pretty much throw you to wolves when you start. But there some great professionals to work with.

Working for TAG was a great summer job. Lots of time outdoors and the people were great. Management was fair. Sometimes the guests you had to deal with difficult guests but you haad support from colleagues.

loved working with all the staff and it was great to be able to take part in all the adventures as well!  Communicating and helping people all around the world was an eye opener.

Had an awesome summer! A regular was working 3-4 tours a day. I learned to be patient and better my communication skills. Workplace culture was happy, fun and positive.

Fun staff and good vibes. Easy going and great atmosphere with location of base. Opportunity to try all activities and work outdoors. Recommended for gap year students.
