Working here is a nightmare. Managers mistreat servers and make the atmosphere one of control and discomfort. They will write you up over anything. Even having a frown on your face. When that happens, they call you into the office, not even telling you over the phone what it's all about. There's also alot of favourtism too. Work hours are not clarified. Working at the TBDI, I constantly felt that I was being watched and scrutinized. The managers were all coldhearted, controlling and unprofessional. I still have PTSD from this place. It's been 10 years. I didn't realize how horrible this place was to work until I worked for a smaller catering company where the manager was caring and made us feel at ease. When you take the humanity out of your managers, you create a toxic, controlling working environment where people feel that Big Brother is out to get them. That's what this place was. 

I would not recommend working for Butler. The staff for the most part are surly and disgruntled. There are so many other places to work...this is a definite time waster. I remember working an extra long shift for a wedding event. The server in charge of "allowing us to have some food after 10 hours of working"...made sure to let us know if we took too much. Funny they have their own version of the "control freak"right on staff.
 I thought I was in the army suddenly. Someone had obviously died and left this nitwit in charge. Honestly, though there are restaurants and so many other companies to work for ...Skip This !  My experience of having worked in high end restaurants..with much superior staffing and management just made this mickey mouse operation seem so pointless.

Each event is a unique experience, as a server we have the responsibility to load and unload the trucks, setup the buffet and make sure that everything is in place before the event begin. Usually the events are at different locations around the city so you have a dynamic workplace. 
The management is really open and friendly and they really want you to understand the company standards and values. 
About the crew, everybody is open and they really wanna you to learn how things work when you start at the company, the real sense of working as a team.
The most enjoyable part of the job is to see the customers satisfied and happy after the service and sometimes, free lunch.

working at the Butler did it my job was simple I was hired as a cashier for a summer event called theatre under the stars where acting school put on shows. my position was to set up and take down concession and handle money. I got the opportunity to meet people from all over the world that came to see the show.at the end of the night my job required me to count all the money and take down all our products and taking it back to head office. then at the head office I would restock the truck with the things we needed for the next day

A toxic workplace full of bitter individuals who have wasted their lives. The gossip, backstabbing and panic at this company ate absolutely dumbfounding. This is basically a company for people who barely passed high school.
The worst part is the owner. He will promise you the world and never come through. He has no idea what’s happening in his own company and is reviled by most of his staff

Honestly this job can be good and bad sometimes. It just depends on the venue where the event is taking place and what kind of event it is. We rarely get breaks and so we have to continue working when we're like literally dying of hunger lol. The work can also get confusing at times like the duties aren't clear. Supervisors are usually very nice and understanding though.

Working in this company has been a very good advantage for me, i got to meet lot of people from different backgrounds, i also got to know about different food cuisines. It was really good seeing all the guests happy while we provide them a fantastic event.

With a High Class clientele, I've worked with great companies and I learned about high volume caterings; making plated dishes for events or clients that seat from 200 to 5000 more or less. great opportunity to enhance knowledge on plating for large events, weddings etc.

Productive and fun work place. Never worked with a bad crew. Good group of people and management. Events are fun and entertaining for the guests and staff. Always had a positive experience working with the assigned crew and managers.

Lots of variety.  You are able to pick and choose your assignments.  Good group of people to work with at various locations.  I worked very minimally with this company so I don't have a lot of experience with them to really comment on their every day dealings
