The CCS Companies

Since I've been here, CCS has been improving. They are trying to be an employer of choice and it shows in many of the employee-centric initiatives they have rolled out. The office space in Norwood is nice. The location near route 1, 95, and Westwood Station is great for lunch places and quick errands. The training and management overall are pretty good but it does vary from manager to manager. Most of the people I interact with are friendly and happy to be here. Hard work does get rewarded but it takes longer than it should sometimes. There's not a lot of turnover in the management ranks so it's hard to move up the ladder quickly. The free coffee is actually pretty good. The benefits package is okay but the health plan is a high deductible type. The 401K match is on the low end but it's better than nothing. You earn more PTO the longer you stay with the company. It maxes out at 26 days/year. Dress code is casual year round. Overall, it's a good place to work and it's getting better.

On a typical day at work I:
Interact with patients, employers, adjusters and bill review representatives to obtain billing information.
Review and submit bills to carriers. 
Review payments and denials. 
File appeals with carriers.

I have learned a lot about workers compensation billing since starting here.

Management is a bit overworked. 

The workplace culture is good, keeping up with the work can be a little overwhelming at times but my manager/teammates will pitch in and help in a pinch.

The hardest part of my job is staying on top of the inventory in my queue.

The best part of my job is working toward individual and team goals for the month.

I ENJOY BEING KEPT BUSY ALL DAY, ITS EVEN BETTER WHEN YOU ENJOY WHAT YOU DO. LEARNING NEW POSITION AND UNDERSTANDING THE POSITION EARLY ON SUCH AS BILLING MVA'S AND WORKER'S COMP  HELP KEEP CCS STAY GROUNDED AND WITH THAT THE EMPLOYEE BENEFITS AS WELL.  CCS HAS GREAT MANAGERS THAT UNDERSTAND THERE EMPLOYEES NEEDS. THEY ALSO  PROVIDE EXTENSIVE  JOB TRANING, THE TRAINER MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT PUT ON THE FLOOR WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR JOB TITLE. THE JOB CAN GET INTENSE, HOWEVER IT PAYS OFF AT THE END.

No one goes to work because they love working. People have jobs so they can make a life and enjoy their time with friends and family. CCS has always respected that idea. I've never felt pressured to choose between my job and my family responsibilities. My managers have always respected my needs outside the office and have never forced me to sacrifice my free time for work time.

I have been working at CCS for almost 5 years.  the place has parking lot, elevators, a nice large cafeteria are and a picnic area as well. What I love must about this place is that everyone are treated with respect. The managers are very flexible with your scheduled. The company do care about their employees. I will recommend anyone to work here.

Coming from my previous job in the same line of business, CCS has been a big step up. They have been in business for over 50 years and it shows. The management is professional and much emphasis is put into following the laws and overall security. Each department is well-defined but also work well together.

My career at CCS has been very positive. Management has been more than supportive and has provided excellent guidance with my career path. CCS has always provided a clean, safe work environment going above and beyond in most cases to make employee workspaces as comfortable as possible.

Working at CCS is amazing. The environment, people and culture is awesome. There is a lot of opportunities and would recommend anyone working there.
I have always liked my previous employers but CCS is truly focused on its employees and clients. I pinch myself on a regular basis!

The pay is good for new hires but not for people who have been here for a while. Raises aren't that great and that's if you get one at all meaning there have been many years where everyone gets no raise at all. There is no advancement in ClaimAssist. There is manager, team lead, IRA.
