What is the best part of working at the company?
I've never felt more supported and cared about at a job than I have at this one! I got to help people surrounded by very kind co-workers and supervisors. The work was engaging and changed me for the better.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
This job involved a lot of emotional labour, but I never felt unsupported.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
This is by far the most positive and uplifting work environment I've ever been in. The employees are motivated by their internal values and everyone, from the lowest to highest-level employees, works hard to create an amazing work culture.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
My day consisted mainly of working face-to-face with people experiencing health issues, completing any necessary paperwork, and contacting any outside entities as needed to help meet health needs

The Mormon Helping Hands program brings together members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and their neighbours to provide community service. These volunteers in their trademark yellow shirts help people whose lives have been affected by natural disasters and other emergencies. Mormon Helping Hands volunteers also partner with government and nonprofit organizations to support and improve the communities where they live.   
The Helping Hands program reflects the desire of Mormons to follow the example of Jesus Christ by serving others. The effort receives resources from Church humanitarian services, and the projects are coordinated by local Church leaders.

I held the mantel of full time missionary for 2 amazing years. It was volunteer position and one that requires complete devotion and self motivation. never had a more fulfilling time in my life.

Typical day started with 2-3 hours of study from church materials starting at 8am. Proselyting then took place till 9 at night with an hour lunch break and an hour dinner break. The day consisted of finding people to teach and setting up appointments, teaching lessons, and being ambassadors for the church

A typical day in the mission involved 3 hours of studying every morning starting at 6:30 AM, service activities ranging from lawn care to fixing cars, to spending time with lonely people, church discussions were planned out and given to those that wanted to hear and talk about their beliefs, appointments were set up for people that wanted to recover from alcoholism and other harmful addictions, church events needed to be organized for baptisms and sermons, and then proselyting and service events rounded out the evenings until bedtime at 10 PM.

The Church is more accurately described as a community than a corporation. The people are great, and I love serving in the Church. But ultimately, it's an organization that's built around God. We love Him and serve Him by serving others, and serving others brings happiness. So although legally it's a corporation, that doesn't describe the spirit of this organization. This is a community of sincere saints who love God and love their fellow human beings. If you wanna call it a job, it was the greatest job ever!

good for everyone need more places like this is good for the community to reduce stress, combat depression, keep you mentally stimulated, and provide a sense of purpose. While it’s true that the more you volunteer, the more benefits you’ll experience, volunteering doesn’t have to involve a long-term commitment or take a huge amount of time out of your busy day. Giving in even simple ways can help those in need and improve your health and happiness.

knowing that there's still so much work to be done

Usually a happy mood, good jokes, spiritual.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Nothing is "typical". I volunteer for what they need from youth.

I am still working with children on Sundays at the LDS Church. It is a volunteer position.  A typical Sunday, two hours, would start with a gathering activity, then free play, snacks, a lesson, games or craft and then clean up. I've learnt to be patient, to manage time because its only for two hours, so everything has to be times. Its not a very hard job and the most enjoyable part is working with the children.

Honestly my church service is the best spent two years of my life, I enjoyed the daily schedule, and each hard working day.
The hardest part can be the demanding nature of devoting all your time and energy in serving the people around you.

Took pride in the work I did.  I learned to be a thorough cleaner, 
The management treated me well.  The pay was good.  As a member of the church myself,  It was a good feeling to know the meeting house was clean and presentable on each Sunday for everyone to enjoy.
