The Crooked Cue

I worked ther for 6 months, and I didn't enjoy it. The management in the kitchen is different from the management outside of it. They do not give you the breaks unless you have done your work. And they give a lot of work even though you're busy because you new and they want to 
"experiment" with you. While line cooks just had few orders. I had very long hours, and I finished my shift at 2 am even if kitchen was closed at 12 am unless manager wants me done earlier. Taking breaks is very uncofortable. Every 10 sec manager comes looking at you saying "faster faster". If you say "I am tired" they will give you the lecture about how kitchen works. Overall, I would not recommend you working there, unless you know managment.

The service was commendable. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, which is important in creating a pleasant dining experience for customers. They handled the flow of the restaurant seamlessly, which is something all cooks can appreciate when we think back to our own hectic kitchen environments . One area for improvement might be the wait time for food during peak hours. It seemed that the kitchen got a little backed up, which can happen anywhere, but I’d suggest they review their prep processes to streamline service during busy times.

Minor issues with coworker behavior but all-in-all an educational experience. Taught me to have patience when dealing with difficult coworkers. which was the hardest part about the job. Kitchen manager was an understanding guy, with good work ethic. However the general manager was very aloof and uncaring about their employees. Working banquets was, by far, the most enjoyable part of the job.

Certain management was incredibly unpleasant to be around and communicate with. I reckon it was them being burnt out and hating their own jobs, but that's no reason for a power trip.
Food was really bad (sorry), I was embarrassed serving it to customers.
Place was detrimental to my mental health: the fake smiles, the selling yourself for customers, the being overly nice to appeal to management so they wouldn't fire you. Hated it.

Great Place to work.  Staff are fun and friendly.  You are allowed a flexible schedule.  Very busy, you make excellent tips.  Fun environment.  Management are supportive and want you to succeed.

Honestly this place wasn't the worst to work at. Like all restaurants a few things need to be worked out but the day to day happenings at the restaurant were very easy to deal with. Would definitely recommend to a friend looking for a job in the service industry.

the one thing that comes to mind about working with/for the owners of the crooked cue is they treat you like family. invite you to house parties for new years eve and other things. also care about your family

amazing people to work with. one of the best manager. i love you jen<3 Since it’s pooled it is not the best best money but still pretty good!!! would recommend for beginners and people looking for a long term job

I love working here. I think it says a lot that many of the staff have been with the company for more than five years. This is really rare for a restaurant job and speaks volumes about the management and the ownership.
