Because of the nature of the role (ensure support and care is given to some needed staff), I have to be very flexible yet displaying care and compassion. As a senior in the department, I act also as a mentor to my colleagues, who are junior. The role is also to ensure rules and policies are applied. Proposing new ideas to implement and giving suggestions to improve is part of our objectives, and is only possible by ensuring a good team work. 
The hardest part of the job is to handle very sensitive cases throughout (severe sickness), with no real solution, but only support to offert. The most enjoyable has been the recognition for going the extra mile to make someone's day. 
By creating the department and contributing to its improvement, it gave me the opportunity to understand business needs and requirements, a high degree of quality of service, with a deep sense of attention to details.  

I am now ready to take a new turn in my career, sharing some new experiences, and applying my organizing skills for a more positve outcome.

Working as a cabin crew manager I had to be adaptable to the daily events.  I managed on line performance which also related to behavioral issues down route.  I managed the HR aspect of management of between 500 - 900 cabin crew as well internal recruitment for promotions within the crew community.  I worked on projects to influence change management and training and development was part of this process.  I enjoyed working with Emirates as each day was different and many challenges were faced but a as a department service delivery worked well together.  The team dynamics were strong from the top down.  The hardest part of my job was on the day of the accident in August 2016 when I worked in operations and had to start getting the flights out fully crewed and managing the emotional aspect of this.  The most enjoyable part of my job was seeing my crew develop and grow in their careers.

Emirates Group was not only a workplace but a lifestyle. The job has always been about style whether in uniform or not - a perfect grooming presentation towards the society. An understandable approach towards people from different countries and cultures. A day at work will be a day of exploration, from the beginning of the briefing where the crew members meet for the first time and work under on standard procedure set by the Company, while on board, its an experience of interacting with new people  and finally the destinations clears all stress and jet lag. A training that covers most of the challenges face on board is provided from the beginning of the job. The most stressful moment will be a flight where different challenges would show up; customer complain, medical case, turbulence and all happening momentarily. But the overall experience was a nine years of growth into the wisdom of knowledge from the world.

Working in Emirates Airline is quite challenging.  My regular routine is to ensure automated management reports are updated and delivered.  You require a lot of project& time management as different stakeholders require my support and expertise.  I have learn so much with this company.  The people are down to earth and upbeat to deliver the projects.  Although there comes a time you will face difficulties due to dependencies and various issues with the system vendor.  You really have to push hard and ensure regular follow-ups in order to deliver what is required by the Business.  The most enjoyable part of my job is my team, my colleagues and the management ho are very supportive to provide professional development, training and workshops.

I love Emirates and still I appreciate and cherish my  years  I spent in Emirates. Very good culture and the they have visionary top management. 
Still, the middle management play dirty politics which needs to be resolved. 
The hardest part is the disaster management during a peak time. 
Most enjoyable part is that we have the  freedom to celebrate all cultural and religious festivals according to your faith.  
Secondly, there’s a platform available for learning and development .

Emirates Airlines is a reputable company that everyone dream about working for. when i came here in UAE in 2007, it was my dream and goal to join the Cabin Crew team. 11 years later i got an opportunity to be part of their team and i took it. Even though it's an HR admin job, i feel the same way and i was very happy joining the company.
Our department responsibility is to make sure that the entire workforce of EK and their families benefits are being taken care of. UAE residence permits, tickets, discounts, insurance, etc.
Workplace, culture, routines, promotions, opportunities and recognitions are well in-placed and well managed by the management team. I could not say more and i enjoy everything about it.

Emirates has given me a lot of good and bad experiences but overall it is a very professional organization to work which has policies and procedures in place. Customers are top priority and are serving to the best quality required. Airline sector is a very challenging business to maintain and accomplish the targets in a specified timeframe. This company would change you internally

I was responsible for Canada offices accounting in full. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, Payroll, Tax filing, Asset Management, Insurance, besides dealing with internal and external customers,

Reporting to head office at New York and Dubai.
