I absolutely love this company and have referred several people to take their course at the Hair Design Center .  If you show eagerness, willingness and strive to be good at your career, this is the place for anyone who wants to work in the beauty industry.  I unfortunately became I'll for a few years and had to give up my position under doctor's orders but, now that I have been focusing on my health and feeling better, I would go back in a heartbeat !!  They truly are one of the best companies to work for if you are serious in becoming very successful. Their MGMT team is doing a great job keeping up with this competitive industry !!!   My biggest regret is that I didn't take advantage of all that the company had to offer and that I didn't form closer relationships with those who I respected so much due to my health issues at the time .  If I had it to do again, I would take advantage of everything that the company had to offer !!

While I appreciate the experience I gained working here, the administrative and upper management at the Head Shoppe ultimately made me quit. At a moment's notice, they would shuffle around salon leads and management, at one point, leaving us without a manager for weeks. How is a salon supposed to run like that? I really enjoyed the stylists I worked with, but even then, they had been through so many managers and desk associates in such a short period of time it took forever to gain their trust. There is a reason this company has such a high turnover rate. As well, the wage is a crime considering the work I ended up doing.

A typical day when i had clients was making them feel good, letting them know how to take care of their skin and nails.  I learned a lot by clients giving me feedback as how i treated them during the appointments.  the management was great to work for they treated me with respect, my co-workers were hairstylists and they were all awesome, the hardest part about my job was getting home after work as i traveled on the bus, the most enjoyable part was making clients feel awesome which made you feel great.

I performed esthetics services for clients daily as well as worked part time on the reception desk. Our team of stylists and estheticians wored well together to bring the best customer service to our devoted clients. Our management team was on the weaker side and often took advantage of the employees, that was the hardest part of the job. The best part of the job was servicing people with a trade I have a great passion for.

The headshoppe has the worst corporate management I've ever dealt with in my entire life. They are so demanding and will cast blame on everyone but themselves. The job is extremely demanding, and extremely high stress. Not to mention, you'll only ever get minimum wage. It's absolutely not worth it.

Worst job I’ve ever had! Toxic environment. Horrible management, huge turnover rate, higher management had no respect for employees at all. Would expect above and beyond and would pay you minimum wage. I will never work for another headshoppe for as long as I live. 

It was a fast paced salon but it's a great place for someone fresh out of school to learn and acquire new skills. They are huge on continued education and send you on many classes that would otherwise cost alot of $$ to take . 

They expect you to hit specific service numbers monthly and if you do not hit them they will fire you. I experienced 3-4 different managers in the short time I worked for them. Turnover is ridiculous.

I worked there a short time filling a temp position. I would not recommend the company! Very mis managed and erratic. Schedule time is awful with little hours.

They expect you to be the manager for minimum wage 
You do pay roll, tips, answer phone, order product, financial reports, book appointments all while by yourself ringing through customers
