I can be working with operators one minute and discussing issues with the business unit leader or plant manager the next.  I deal with ingredient issues to resolve to batching system to packaging issues.   So I always travel most areas of the plant on a weekly basis.  Have learn allot by working with our research and development personnel how the to problem solve candy production issues, batching and allergen issues.  I have worked with maintenance, operators, supervisors and multiple vendors and engineers on new line installations, new equipment updates and foreign material investigations to understand all different types of equipment the mechanical properties.  I have worked with corporate Quality Regulatory Compliance (QRC) to investigate consumer and vendor complaints.  The most enjoyable part of the job is being able to talk to all the different levels of personnel from day to day.

Its a place that has gone through a huge amount of change in the last 5-7 years. The majority of it isn't good.

The American corporate culture is still wonderful, but Canadian Leadership has implemented and defended a bastardized version of a meritocracy.  Doesn't matter what you accomplish or how you do it; if you are not a Leadership pet... you are toast.  

Think long and hard about whether you want to work there.  Do your homework and ask current employees what they really think.  Ask them to be honest.  Everyone in this building spends more time watching their backs than adding value.

My day at Hershey chocolate world starts at 10 am and a comfortable place to be, with good workers. i learned a lot in my office, like being able to communicate with people and solve the problem, able to work with diverse people from different background. The management is good and friendly, workplace culture is so unique and as different people with a different culture, and the hardest part of my job is carrying heavy boxes from one place to another but i really enjoy it because it shows my strength of hard work. And the thing i like about the job is talking to people and helping them with their need and growth in the company.

Worked various different jobs in the plant ex.Hot end , cold end.

Hot end was where the chocolate was produced.

Cold end was the packaging Department.

Trained as a box machine operator , Fork Lift operator.

The company has a strong CSR commitment and has been a consistent industry leader in North America. I have learned a lot about the industry and the people I've worked with. The company empowers its employees in all levels to be independent and to take accountability for our actions through having a company-shareholder mindset. Working with the company has been enjoyable but at times the stress-levels can be quite daunting as there are many instances that would require for you to work a ridiculous number of hours.

"I wanted to take a moment to reflect on my job as a ride operator in 2018. Looking back, I can confidently say that it was an amazing experience. I enjoyed working with my colleagues and interacting with guests from all over the world. I took pride in ensuring the safety of all riders and making sure they had a fun and memorable experience. I also appreciated the opportunities for growth and development that my job provided me with. Overall, I am grateful for the experience and look forward to continuing to contribute to the success of the park.

While I worked for the company it gave the opportunity to learn new things.
Management was sometimes difficult to work for.
Co-worker there was some who were great to work for  but with all big companies you had a variety of people with different ideas which made life there hard. No flexible hours and shifts were given by senority.
Enjoy my time working there but there was no job security, since the factory is now closed

- Good company overall with estabolished brands and market. 
- Commited to grow internationaly and willing to invest in international market outside of north America. 
- Overall working environment is conservitive, though trying to drive innovative thinking and diversity. 
- Flexible workin hour and location is the most highly evaluated elements from many employees.

I enjoyed most of my time at Hershey.  Smart people, respectful of individualities, fun place to work.  

It all went down when I got a new manager - all of a sudden I was enemy #1 and was terminated within 3 months with very little severance.

They are always restructuring, so that can create instability.  Company is doing well financially, so they generally pay above market average.
