What is the best part of working at the company?
Flexible hours.  Follow up on injuries

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not much except if their are shipping delays you have to wait for work.   You are doing a specific job while working with the public.  You have to be polite to customers but you cannot spend a lot of time solving problems.   This scenario can be stressful depending on the situation and individual. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They encourage you to stretch before work.  Willing to file workers comp even when you tell them you are not wanting to file a claim.   I would have to say better then average.   Above average benefits for full time and permanent part time employees. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
In my position as a part time merchandiser I basically do my thing at home, I am a full time Dad, and check my email for notice of a delivery.  Once notice is given I have 36 hours not including weekends to start putting the order away.  It depends on retailers hours but in my case I can choose to work anytime night or day weekday or weekend.  However you are not required to work weekends.   Best part time job ever.

Work is not appreciated with Managers taking recognition of your achievements. HR conducts employee feedback surveys with no positive action taken. Leadership makes decisions without thoroughly reviewing the consequences of changes. Company's procedures and operation system outdated and ineffective. No loyalty to employees after years of service. Employees disrespected by some managers constantly with no help by employer when requested.HR pretends to look out for the best interest of the employees but don't be fooled. Hillman Canadian Leadership team is the worst I've seen in my career.

At first I was too excited to work for this company but down the road in few months found out that what they promise they don't stand on it .
Managers and supervisors keep changing every month or so and every one blames previous supervisors and managers about poor warehousing they keep on pushing you to get the numbers up and once your probationary time  is almost done  they hand you termination letter without reasons .
And if you get into accident on forklift you will have to do manual labour for weeks  like punishment and after that they will retrain you.

So If you don't believe me go work there and find out your self 

Hard physical, fast-paced job with lots of heavy lifting of mostly building materials 
Unreasonable, unrealistic production standards considering the packagers are paid less than industrial average for similar work and said standards that are asked of them
Biased management, known to withhold advancement opportunities to those that are far more deserving than most
Very slow to promote staff to full-time even to ones that have been with the company for a much longer time than most
High stress job, definitely not for the faint of heart

Is a slow to moderate 8hr shift if you are experienced.

Lacks communication with each other and their teams.  They are often ego driven and limit skilled employees that leads to drained employees morale.

Is one of silos and lack of accountability.

Is wanting or seeing the potential to do more, but being limited by the culture.
The most enjoyable part of the job
Is most of the customers and close co-workers are reliable and fun

What is the best part of working at the company?
My management team was very good. They were always available for help or direction.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
My position didn't really have much stress at all. Driving was the worst part I suppose.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very good.  Most people stay there for years.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I was an FSR so my day was spent visiting customers. Basically maintaining displays, ordering product, customer  relations with the store management, and driving to and from the the stores.

Let’s talk about the bad things. Oh it could be a long list.

They don’t trust you, toxic work environment, no culture, not challenging and it will bore you to death. You will get a lot of physical and mental harms and it will be super ultra stressful.

The management is Non-existent unless they want to blame you for something.

You will be underpaid and you will overwork. That’s just a fact.

Plus you have I’ll be driving a lot with a laughable   
Gas mileage coverage.

They will send you to different locations including outside the province.

The list could goes on and on but I’ll stop here.

The good things? I don’t know. Really. I don’t.

Very good first impression. The team from the floor is very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with. This is the only good thing.

The Management is just to be there, very rude, arrogant and doesn't know anything about operations, just about numbers and pushes the staff to the limits. Will tell you to do something and after will ask why you did it. Doesn't matter how good you are, the blame is on you! Management seams to be friendly one minute and yells to you without any reasons. Everything is toxic and negative. No room for advancement, just promises. You'll never hear a good word or appreciations. 

It's okay place to work at first. But then it all starts to unravel at the seams. Management is friendly one minute and yelling at you the next. A good stepping stone job, definitely not a career. Don't ever expect to move up in the company. It's all about numbers. Put in a honest days work and shouldn't be talked to by management.

What is the best part of working at the company?
You leave early on Fridays. Depending on the Dept., you're in.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management, co-workers, favoritism  & wages.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Horrid if you're not on the "list".

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Headaches, stress & trying to get the day over.
