What is the best part of working at the company?
Flexible hours! You get your schedule ahead of time and you can work out the days and hours to complete it, based on your availability.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The salary is extremely low and also the gas pay isn't realistic! The time frame given for some of the resets is also extremely unrealistic at times. They give you an estimate of 3-4 hours to complete the the task and it takes around 8-9 if you want it done properly! Then they question why it took so long. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I was a merchandiser so I worked in various store locations and dealt with alot of cosmetic managers. It's ok at best, you are alone most of the time.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Take any materials or products that were sent to me with the planogram and go to assigned store, notify the Cosmetic manager that I have arrived. She/he gets the stock and materials from storage and brings it out to me, I start to clear the old stock and dismantle any shelves that will be changed or removed and I start to rebuild and reconfigure the cosmetic or beauty  product display. Upon finishing, I clean up my are entirely and take photos of all areas of the display, then leave the store. I either go to another store if there is time and it is a small task, or I return home. When at home, I log into my employee profile and complete the questions related to my completed task and send all photos that are pertinent to the completion.

I only worked for them for 6 weeks in those six weeks I had to call HR twice about late payments. signed up for direct deposit they mailed me cheques. First time I called I did not know and they never called me back to let me know what had happened. the next time I was expecting a cheque in the mail it was over a week late. I called at the 16 days between cheques point. less then 20 hours later I was fired with no reason. I got the pay cheque soon after and then had to play the waiting game again. My last cheque was for a big job I did for them. I only got it after waiting over two weeks and having to threaten legal action.  I will say my supervisor was great as it is nice to have someone who knows the work and is helpful it is a rare combo and most don't have either.  That aside how I was beyond unprofessional and borderline illegal.

I have really noticed how this company has many bad reviews but it’s not the company itself it seems to be a direct supervisor issue. This is a fantastic company to work for and I’m so lucky to have such a great supervisor. This is a great position/company for single moms as you can almost 100% work around your schedule with the kiddos. I wish there was a little more work available during the off-season of cosmetic relines. All in all it’s a great company to be a part of.

During the last 5 years that I've been working as a merchandiser Linkage stands out as the worst bunch of people I've worked for. They do not listen, they do not respond, they do not accommodate. I have not been paid for a good bit of work I did for them two months ago, and the supervisor tells me the project is closed and I will not get my money. We'll see what they say after my attorney contacts them. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Typically working a merchandising job entails receiving a list of stores that need completing from your supervisor, as well as details in full about what needs to be accomplished at the stores, you are then given a time frame to complete the stores in. The nice part of all this is that you are given free reign of when to book the store appointments, letting you spread them out as need to fit around your life and appointments.

Like most merch companies they hire ppl who have experience. For those who lie and say they have it but don't won't make it in this job. Bashing the company for your misinformation and lack of experience isn't warranted. If you don't have experience don't apply. Contract work means you work for yourself and you are trained to do what your applying for.

Typical day at work would all depend on the project you are working on. Projects are changing all the time, fun to work on different things all the time. Never boring and always changing, fun, easy to learn environment. You work along or as a team depending on the nature of the project. Flexibility to make your own schedule.

Offer you the job and then when you call back to accept within the agreed upon time they've given it to someone else without ever letting you know that they're speaking to other people.  Also canceled several appointments to meet and never seemed to know what days or times they've booked with you.

This job requires me to work against competitor's sales people at the same mall. The overall experience was intensive and the work load was massive. My responsibilities include completing sales task, managing inventory, reporting sales records, etc.

Learning how to be an efficient merchandiser while working with Linkage helped my problem solving and independent work skills. It was a great place to work at the time and were always open to my work schedule and could workaround it.
