Worst job ever. I already had a stable part-time job, but I was just looking to make extra money.

First red flag was at the FIRST minute of the training. I login to the Teams meeting with my camera open, excited to meet new people and my new employer. Everybody had their cameras closed, but that’s pretty common nowadays. But the “coach” had his camera off too and when he saw me, instead of greeting me politely and opening his camera, he said to me : “Hi you can close you camera because I’ll be sharing my screen.” …. Is this how you engage with your employees when MEETING THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME ? Not even 1 minute in and I already felt like they did not give a single crap. I felt like a number.

About the work itself, it’s calling one person after another and repeating the exact same little paragraph over and over and over before getting hung up. It’s an easy job, but it gets pretty boring and repetitive. I mean, that’s the job, but management could seriously use some training to try to motivate the employees and make this fun despite the job isn’t. I wouldn’t mind doing this job if the team leads were nice and tried to create a work culture. But nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. 

Typical shift : You log into your account, verify on what project you’re assigned, log into the project and then the system automatically dial numbers for you one after another non stop. And that’s it, you’re set for you 8 hours shift ! You’ll never but never interact with a colleague. Just with a rude team lead when he has directions to give.

I’ll always remember when they cut everybody 1h30-2h before the end of a shift because we “reached our hours”. The team lead wrote in the chat “Please logout at 4pm. I DON’T WANT TO TRACK ANYONE DOWN.” Excuse me once again ?!? No “Thank you for day”, no “Nice job team”, no “Go enjoy your Saturday night”, nothing nothing nothing but rude team leaders. 

Some of your calls are monitored and this team lead even used this as a way to threaten the employees to perform : “Wrap up your calls in 15 sec, talk like this, do this, do that. EVERYONE WILL BE MONITORED TODAY.” They are creating a very stressful environment in a job that is pretty relax to do. 

During the holidays, almost all shifts were cancelled. I considered myself lucky because I was just looking for a hobby and way to make extra money, so I had the freedom to quit. But I think they hire a lot of immigrants and I can’t imagine being stuck in a job like this that has zero security and trying to provide for a family with this very unstable and toxic income. 

I asked team leaders what was the actives mesures on keeping employees motivated and his answer was to monitor our calls and give feedbacks. Well I work there for 2 months, probably dialed around 2000 numbers and only 2 of my calls were evaluated. So no, it’s not a solution. They should really but really invest in management. I thought the fact of having motivated employees increases performance was known by pretty much everybody. 

But turns out The Logit Group doesn’t.

It's a suitable part-time job if you're open to working evenings and weekends while committing to 20 hours per week. I personally worked this job concurrently with my full-time position, and they were accommodating. They allowed me to leave my primary onsite job elsewhere, return home during traffic, and promptly log in. Once you provide your availability, they expect you to adhere to it, and they don't accept excuses for absenteeism without prior notice. They are generally easy to work with, particularly if you can communicate effectively in English. They offer paid training and cover the cost of necessary equipment for the first year. The pay rate is $17 per hour, which is preferable to working in retail and having to dress up just to earn money from home. Your main responsibilities involve reading scripts, following guidelines, and concluding calls promptly.

This job offers valuable experience in interacting with diverse individuals and gaining insights into various survey types, such as federal, provincial, municipal, hydro, and insurance surveys, which have a global reach. I haven't encountered any significant issues with this job; they've been supportive during challenging times and demonstrated flexibility. However, it's worth noting that you won't receive pay during a two-week break over Christmas, work slows down in Jan - Mar and there are no paid personal time off, sick days, bonuses, or benefits. Your earnings are solely based on the hours you work and the calls you make.

It's hard to be critical of this company. They are incredibly upfront with what to expect and how everything works. You come in 10 mins early, log in and read about the survey you'll be doing. Then you turn on the dialer and start randomly calling people. That goes about as well as you would expect. It's 2021, not many people are interested in taking 5-45 minute surveys and most will be reasonably frustrated if it takes any longer than 10.

You must read off a scipt verbatim, and honestly that's so much harder than I ever thought it could be. This is because sometimes its so incredibly unnatural and you are not allowed to clarify if the person on the other end is confused.

But that's it. That is the entire day. It is mind-numbing work, which is why it seemed a good portion of employees were uni/college students working only a few nights a week.

Management was fine, honest, and somewhat willing to help. Training was essentially a 2 day orientation about the company with ~10 minutes of actual training. Your first few calls will be awkward and you'll mess up, and they expect that.

Despite the fun fact that they offer the opportunity to work from home, the management is bad, their software always crashing, often cancelling shifts at the last minute, very poor management and support. I'm working for the Montreal branch.

During every of my sessions from home (and even from the office when I had my 2 weeks training), the supervisors were blabbing about weather and non-job related stuff to one of the supervisor's desk (they were 3 supervisors chatting at her desk and they sent one of them looking for the other interns once in a while), when their system crashed, they just took forever to tell us what to do...

They often give you attitude when you showed them what was wrong with their multiple recurring computer bugs...

No support whatsoever from the managers too.
I call supervisors and text them but no answer.
same with the manager.

And today one hour prior to my shift (from 17h to 24h), they decided to cancel my interviews for the whole week. They gave me no reason, and they don't answer my text or my call. 

How I'm supposed to pay my share of the rent?

I worked here for over half a year and it was one of the worst jobs I've ever had. Your job is to call people for surveys and depending on the type of people you're interviewing for the survey, you can get a lot of rude people. Once you get on a survey it's easy but you need to have a lot of perserverence. 
 At first, working here was ok. We got gift cards and positively reinforced. After about a month and a half I started noticing that one of our overseers was very passive aggressive. She would gossip about employees to the assistant manager within earshot of some of them and was critical about job performances. 
 Just a warning: if you have any sort of anxiety, the types of people you are calling will not help. Some of the respondents are kind but most aren't. I've gotten sworn at, mocked and hung up on. And the managers are not empathetic about that at all.

Like they said, if you have no other options and need to eat, go for it. Otherwise, look for other options. In a job like that of an Interviewer, you are not paid when you are not logged in to take calls, hence you have to talk the entire shift reading from a script. Breaks are not paid, even the times when you have to stand to get water or go to the wash - every time you turn-off the call connect feature (logout) you will not be paid. Calls are connected by the system every around 30 seconds. The entire thing is robotic and mind-numbing. The management are nice people though but I guess they have no clue at all how to motivate people, make the environment fun, and all that. They just want you to take the calls and eventually they have some numbers to report. If that sounds fun and dignifying, go for it. This is a high-attrition workplace. I don't know if the management has taken the time to analyze why.

Overall, I would recommend this job to students who aren't supporting themselves or if you're looking for a casual job in the evenings. It's super frustrating but I've never had such a flexible job and sometimes that's worth it.
Such a terribly managed company. Supervisors have no idea what's going and don't get paid enough to pay attention. Shifts get cut EVERY DAY by at least an hour but sometimes by 2 or 3. The expectation is that you have 1-2 completed surveys each hour, but it's not enforced or even monitored. Nobody cares what you're doing as long as your logged in. 
It was a great job while I was in school and didn't need to support myself. It's so poorly managed that I was able to just skip shifts, log in late, or leave early whenever I had assignments or plans and nobody ever said a thing. 

You'll never make enough money to survive on. No benefits. You'll never be considered full time no matter how many hours a week you work. You can't control the fact that you'll have days where barely anyone answers the phone and the ones who do hang up on you or refuse to take the survey. It's the luck of the draw pretty much but you'll be sent home when this happens and if you don't get enough completed surveys. Which sucks if you depend on the hours to survive and pay bills. It's a good second job to make a few extra dollars but that's it. The work atmosphere is good and supervisor is really cool and easy going. We make our own schedule every week but not every location does this.

The hardest part of the job was getting clients to conduct market research with you long enough to be good for the data. At times, there was encouragement from the staff while sometimes, I left work feeling to blame, emotionally burnt out and stressed. The workplace had to be cleaned on a shift-to-shift basis which was tedious especially since it seemed others couldn't be bothered to do it. The best thing about the job were some of the quality control supervisors. They listened to make sure we were collecting accurate when talking to clients. 

When new management came, I didn't feel like a valued employee but as someone who was just there to do their job and go. I felt dehumanized and commodified. I began to resent the job, and the way the management trimmed staff and called it "restructuring" sourced me.

A typical day of work is log in and greet, introduce and taking surveys and recording it in the company's system. Easy work. Difficult to stay motivated at times with rude clients and a lack communication between some, not all, TL and supervisors/management. That, was for me. Hard to deal with. The leadership titles were there, but I would say there were one or two that abused their role. The owner, he is really cool.. Because there were some very good persons trying their best to keep the company running efficiently. But when you have one or two bad eggs in there, it undermines the good efforts of the good ones. And makes wanting to remain a very difficult environment to tolerate.
