The Look Company

The Look Company's primary focus is on delivering custom graphics on cloth to large venues. They were attempting to change focus to include retail. The job was typically a "hurry up, and wait" proposition on a daily basis. Keeping track of deadlines was very easy. It was managing the demands of the client against the production schedule that provided the most conflict.

The size of the company placed emphasis on delivering large projects that had defined deadlines. Unfortunately, although the deadlines for submittal of finished art were not met, the production deadlines remained. This resulted in a time-crunch that meant production was tied up for days on one project, with no time for other commitments.

Not only did this produce a "hurry up, and wait" in production, it filtered through to the project coordinators, the shippers, the accounting department, and the sales force. No one was immune to its affects.

Most of the people at The Look Company were very enjoyable to work with, and fostered a culture that was energetic.

Working here has been a good experience. The managers are approachable and take the time to listen. They check in often and make sure you have what you need to do your job well. There is a real sense of teamwork and people are willing to help each other out.

The company has stayed strong even with the current tariffs in the industry. Business has not slowed down and there have been no changes to staffing or operations because of it. This gives a lot of confidence in the stability of the company.

There are opportunities to learn and grow. When you put in the effort, it is noticed and appreciated. It feels good to be part of a workplace where people want you to succeed.

Overall this is a reliable and positive place to work where you can feel secure and supported.


I have just started in my new role, and so far each day has been well-organized with clear instructions and friendly guidance from the team.
Management has been very welcoming and supportive, making sure I have the resources and training I need to succeed.
The workplace culture feels positive, inclusive, and encouraging. Colleagues are always willing to help and share their knowledge.
Since I’m still new, the hardest part is learning all the details and procedures, but I know this will get easier with time.
The most enjoyable part so far is how friendly and helpful everyone is, which makes starting a new job much easier and more comfortable.

This workplace struggles with jealousy and internal competition. Instead of teamwork, there is gossip, comparison, and a lack of genuine support among colleagues. Achievements are often met with resentment rather than encouragement, which impacts morale and productivity. It’s a challenging environment for anyone who values collaboration and professional growth. With stronger leadership, this could be a much healthier workplace.
My experience with the HR department was disappointing due to a noticeable lack of neutrality. Concerns were not handled impartially, and decisions appeared to favour certain individuals. An HR department should act as an unbiased support system for all employees, and unfortunately, that standard was not met in this case.

The company has very uneven workflow, during large project hours are crazy and its go go go, which is fine, but even so we need water breaks and cooling breaks.  
The production floor is not air conditioned and it can be very intense. 
Management could be unpleasant, they pick favourites, and treat hard workers who are not in favour poorly. 
It difficult to make ends meet and support a family with what they paid. I often struggled to pay my bills every month. But was too exhausted to manage a second job. I feel that leaving the Look Company was one of the best things I have done for myself. 

A lot has changed at The Look Company. The old reviews don’t show what it’s like here anymore. We have a lot of new people here, and it’s helping the company grow in a good way. More people are getting trained and promoted from inside the company, which makes us want to stay and do well. There are now policies in place that support staff and HR and management also check in with us regularly to see how we’re doing. If we have any concerns or need help, they take care of it quickly. The company really cares about the staff. It’s a good place to work now, and I’m happy to be part of it.

Early to bed, quick to rise and start each day fresh and enthusiastic.  My greatest asset is my wide-ranging experience and communication skills.  I can quickly get to the root of the problem and find a solution.

My output is large, fast and of high quality.  My relationship with co-workers is excellent and I have learned to get the most from people 
and the task at hand by listening.

I love a great challenge - whether it be learning a new skill or tackling an impossible problem.  The end goal is always in sight.

Ive been with the company for a few years now. They provide good training , and have high expectations for you to grow within your team.  This is a place where there is lots of work, mainly because of the deadlines they have with projects like the CFL , NHL and other large sport projects that are up against an opening day. Then the rush is over , and theres a feeling of gratification that you were part of the event. Management also treats their employees fairly and shows appreciation for the work we do. I highly recommend working at The Look Company. 

Very helpful supervisors, HR generalist that is awesome, friendly and wecoming co-workers, company perks, fully paid health benefits. 

Supervisors that take the time to teach you, which they are very good at and encourage you when you "master" a skill. They want things done right, all questions about a new task/job you're given are welcomed. 

You are treated as part of the team from day one. I feel good in the morning when I get up for work, I have never had a bad day working here.

There was a couple of exemplary coworkers. My director and her staff where helpful and trustworthy. There was a couple of……… not so great people. 
Its terrible to point fingers however if you work at TLC I’m sure you have an idea.
Production runs are sloppy, pre production execution and design definitely leave something to be desired. Install is all over the place and engineering is lacking in safety.
