In a typical day at work, I would be surrounded by 15-20 fascinating peers for whom this job was simply one facet of extraordinarily engaging lifestyles we all shared within the Edmonton/Canadian context. 
As delivery dispatch, I was the point person for a great deal of interactions in order to facilitate a successful day of customer service. This involves providing the drivers with their daily route plans, following through on the previous day's deliveries, and ensuring the plan for the upcoming day was appropriately developed for all dynamic factors. 
In this position, I learned a great deal about local, organic food economics; personal development strategies; technological requirements of full system management; and cooperation with a large team for best-practice changes to benefit the whole community (internally and externally). 

I enjoyed the detailed aspects of my job where i was able to facilitate personal creativity into a visible product the next day. This was both meditative and fascinating from a geographical perspective regarding dynamic purchasing economic trends. 

The hardest part of the job was the immense amount of energy required to complete a day with last minute changes. While most often they were successful without hiccups, often these days my days were extended to 10+ hours. I am a hard worker, and rarely took time off, though moments like this were particularly taxing.

Area was moved to a refrigerated storage place a few months ago. Things have not been the same ever since. First off, the place is freezing, it is a must to wear winter clothes. The environment is dark and depressing. Once every 30 minutes the storage fans turn on. They are extremely loud and you have to wear this terrible ear protection that clamps so hard you'll debate whether it's worth it or not to take them off.

Shifts are extremely long. All my shifts have been scheduled for 12 hours, and they all last 12 hours. Regularly we do not even finish on time. You are allowed to leave by law after 12 hours at least, but you may choose to stay if you want. If you do choose to work here, recommend wearing some semi noise cancelling IEMs, under a hood so they do not fall out, and listening to an audiobook. Makes the boring hours somewhat worth it as the job itself is mindlessly easy. Don't blame the line leaders, this place is just tasked with far too much than it can handle.

What is the best part of working at the company?
No vacation pay, 1 sick day/month.  Poor management and if anything, you'll get a raise that doesn't really show on your pay.  It is not worth the time, there is no progression.  It is a dead end job.  Look elsewhere, there's more promising opportunities out there.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Injuries, injuries, injuries, this job requires a lot of repetitive movement (lifting, bending etc.) and lots of hours behind the wheel.  If you are not young and fit, you'll feel it after a few months and benefits don't take effect till 6 months. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There is no designated place for your breaks or lunches.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Arrive on site, hopefully there is a van for use, if not you either have to drive across the city.  Do your deliveries, some good, some not so good.  Apartments with no elevators can be very stressful, but hey that's part of the job.  Carry those totes up those stairs and risk having an injury.  No one cares.

Contrary to what some overly glowing reviews state; upper management does not care about their staff. Poor wages, lack of any real training, hours very inconsistent. 
Obviously people who are in charge at head office have never worked the floor for an entire day ever. They come up with schemes to make thing more efficient but all they do is throw a wrench into what local management have already found to work for their location. They have rules dictating that every employee must work 12hrs if needed but no overtime and if you leave before then, which is not scheduled that way, you could be written up

Here's a brief list of what to expect from management.
1. Complaining and making enormous deals over very small things.
2. If you state any opinion, you will get canned
3. They do lie, and there's LOTS of talking behind your back. 
4. It's a lot to deal with, be prepared to hold back, when they don't understand how things work. example. I had to teach two, what signatures were ( 2 day conversation back and forth ) wish I was joking

Wage low for what you are expected to do.
Dangerous driving conditions during winter with little to no support when you get stuck.
Management are all very childish and manipulative.  They will flat out lie to your face and complain to others behind your back.  Very unprofessional.  Unrealistic delivery times very late at night when MOST people are asleep.  Give up you will NEVER get a raise.  Fresh food totes are not sanitized properly.

Pay is extremely low - Support level is extremely low - The managers in Edmonton are low level, don't understand the industry and yell at staff when they make a mistake.   

The company itself barely stays afloat and the people running it create an awful work environment where culture is awful and everyone wants to quit.

The company isn’t growing at all. Senior management is unprofessional, inappropriate, patriarchal. Low sales, do not foresee the company growing or operating long. Toxic work culture. Don’t waste your time, there are better companies out there that will pay you more. They expect you to work outside your hours with no overtime pay.

Management don't care, pay is low!!
No chance of advancement or getting a raise !! 
The work is not fixed it changes more often!! 
Everyday feels like you have to do something new. 
After more than 2 years working with them and asking for a raise for several months, I was offered $.50 raise .. 

Ridiculous low pay. Lowest paying driver job in Edmonton. Way too militant in the rules for the pay recieved. Warehouse staff treat drivers like a number and nothing more. Drivers are highly disregarded because of the high turnover. It's management's fault they can't keep staff.
