The Original Pancake House

During my time there i found there isn't anyone to officially run the kitchen. i was one of the few people that would try to get everything on the prep-list done before leaving while others wouldn't care. i found head office management is bad. i would get B-ch at for not doing my work when i was a line cook and spent most of my day ding prep. while the other stood there and watched me being b-ched at. its also the nastiest kitchen I've ever worked at =. if you care about work ethics and kitchen management DONT WORK HERE. food sometimes would be dropped on the floor and still be used and served. i dont understand how they pass safety inspection. i did meet amazing people in the kitchen but i wouldn't recommend working there.

the management is so hard to please, no matter what you are doing its wrong. Management talks about you behind your back instead of talking to you about it. no one gets fired so you have to work with people who don't care and get in trouble for it. not clean at all, don't care about you if you happen to call in sick one time. the manager takes your tips, literally could be on kitchen nightmare. You get in trouble if you want one weekend off in the summer. so unorganized. You can do much better than work for this company

I worked at Pancake House for about 5.5 years. It was a good place to work in some ways and in others, it was difficult to handle. 
I thrived on the fast paced work environment that came with the job but because it was a small franchise, there were some disorganization within the company that was hard to deal with at times.
Other than that it was a great place to spend 5 years and I made a lot of lifetime friends connections through it.

This was a very fun job especially if you like people. The staff is very close. Sometimes it feels as if upper management sees the servers and hosts as expendable, and just a vessel for money, but again, the immediate working environment is very supportive. Do not apply for a job here if you have a quick temper, as customers can be really mean and throw insults directed at you, but the nice customers make up for the bad ones.

This was my first job.I wasnt treated well at all coming to a foreign land and working is tough..In the forks meitein was really rude..She wld smile with others but wldnt even reply how are you to me.Didnt enjoy much.overall a bad experience.They cut hours a lot ..There were times when I got 4 hrs a week asked for more hours and they said you need practice..How am I supposed to practice when you dnt give me hours!

Very busy in the building. Lots of people coming in the door and constantly moving.  Food is good there. Some co-workers are nice to work with. Learned how to deal with angry and unsatisfied costumers and how to react to it.  Hardest part of job would be carrying heavy bins constantly but get used to it. Most enjoyable part about the job is getting half off food after your shift. Comfort food.

Honestly the while work place experience is pretty good, the people there are really nice and the job itself isn't too hard to pick up on. I do not however like one of the managers that work there. Pretty much my whole experience working there would be a pretty good one if they were not there.

The original pancake house is a great place to work. Workers are very organized and disciplined, and they can also manage their time very well. Although staffs who work in the kitchen do not get tips in cash, they can get certain amount of tips from customers who pay their meals by credit card.

The people who are employed at the Original Pancake House are what make it special.as well as the quality of the food . The pay is fair and tips are good.


The customers are generally kind and easy to work with, and the job can be fun at times. However, it gets very busy, and the strong smell of pancakes can sometimes make me feel sick. The shifts are long and involve a lot of standing and walking, and it can be hard to take breaks because of how busy it gets.
