Difficult place to work at best, was constantly overwhelmed by over booking, and lack of support from the owner operator.  I spent months explaining the poor job conditions, and lack of work ethic, only for the owner to ignore me.  When things started to cost the owner money, due to the lack of work being done by the other employees, the owner decided one day to put us all on notification on the company chat, about how no one was doing their job.  Many workers were brought in as immigrants working towards their permanent citizenship, and would basically put them in terrible work conditions, and threaten their jobs if they didn't accept it, which would force them to move home, and lose their attempt at citizenship.

The pay is generous but the work is hard.  You have to have your wits about you to be able to sometimes separate aggressive dogs.   The training is the best you will be a certified dog handler in no time.  That being said  you must be proficient in english in order to write endless reports and an expert photographer to somehow capture the cuteness in the ugliest of mutts.  But yeah give it a try!!

Over booked dogs both in daycare and for grooming most days. Shifts are not guaranteed if not enough dogs are booked. Play pens are over crowded and not cleaned nearly enough. Pay is not worth the physical toll the job  puts you through. The only positive is working with dogs. Some of the groomers are quite rough with the dogs as well. Also don't ever expect your  T4 to be available to you when it's supposed to... honestly the list goes on and on and on

From the start, working at the Pawsh dog was tough. Had first day of "training" with a girl that seemed frustrated that she had to train me.  My next shift was with a someone who had only been there 2 weeks so we both barely knew what we were doing. Some customers were rude when they couldn't get what they wanted. It was hard to address customer questions when you werent trained properly.

There isn’t one it is way to unorganized

The staff and managers they dont know what their doing 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
it is a extremely TOXIC environment 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It is Never ending  and aweful

Too many dogs and not enough staff, kennels and blankets for dogs are broken and ripped. We don’t get our schedules until late Sunday night before the week we work. Management doesn’t train properly and expect you to do things in the system on your own. I was told to not to try to contact the owner about issues because “she doesn’t care”. Love it:))))))

No management support at all. They don't refresh equipment and almost everything is broken. New shampoo won't be ordered until everything won't be gone. 
Schedule shared at 6-8pm day before. If you need a day off it's your own problem but they can cancel your shift at any moment. 

I don't recommend anyone to work here.  Terrible management.  The pay doesn't match the work.  Delay in wages.  No overtime on holidays (Christmas) and NY

working in a dog kennel is hard! They expect the world from you and it goes on and on and on and nothing ever changes and it's too bad and it's not satisfying what are you talkin about working up a post org

They didn't have a lot of work time for me and always canceled my schedule in last moment. Also they have very strange rules about dogs safety, so thats very easy for them to run away
