Having had the privilege of working as an electronic technician at Radius Security, I am proud to share my personal experience of the exceptional electronic security systems we make and deliver. As an electronic technician, I've had the opportunity to witness the start-to-end attention to detail that goes into designing, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and QC/ QA process. From advanced surveillance cameras to state-of-the-art IoT systems, each component is engineered to the highest standards to ensure optimal performance and peace of mind for our customers.

One of the aspects that I find most rewarding about working at Radius is the emphasis we place on customer satisfaction and tailoring our products to customer needs.  Moreover, the collaborative atmosphere at Radius fosters continuous learning and growth. As an electronic technician, I have access to ongoing training and development opportunities that enable me to stay ahead of the curve in this rapidly evolving industry. From mastering new technologies to refining my troubleshooting skills, I'm constantly expanding my knowledge and expertise to better serve in the cutting-edge technologies to come. I hesitated to complete a review knowing my role in the company, however, I realized what harm is there in sharing how this company has changed my life. I recently had the opportunity to work at Vancouver Fire & Radius Security, and I wanted to share my experience with others who may be considering applying for a position at the organization.
From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was struck by the positive and welcoming culture at VFRS. I felt supported and valued from day one and had no struggle or tension to blend in with the new team. It was obvious to me from the early stages of training that I took the right decision to come onboard. Teammates are extremely helpful; managers are very open and respectful, and they priorities safety and well being of the employees more than just getting the job done. 
In terms of opportunities for growth and development, this company really stands out. There are regular training and professional development sessions, and the company encourages employees to take on new challenges and explore new areas of expertise.
In terms of benefits and perks, they go above and beyond. In addition to competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits packages, there are also regular team-building events and opportunities for employees to bond and have fun together.

This was my experience as a Junior Fire Technician:

Huge lack of organization among tech managers made this an awful experience. Training was a disaster, which was surprising considering they do have well designed training rooms. Part of this was due to a lack of standardized training. Learning more than one way to complete a task is important but not when each trainer contradicts one another.

They do provide in-house training but if you're a junior tech and are new to the industry it's completely unbalanced. Everything is rushed and the senior techs would rather complain about training new staff than actually teach them(in the field). Understandably, training is hard but this was almost comical.

Majority of the techs were under a significant amount of stress due to being overworked, and under-trained. Safety is preached but not practiced. There is a huge disconnection between tech managers and what's happening in the field. I have never seen such reckless ladder use, it was insane, truly.

Based off my interview and initial research of VanFire(which looked great), it was extremely disappointing to see it operate the way it does. 

I've worked construction for most of my life and the chaos here makes the construction industry look good. If I was an office worker I probably would have loved it, everyone inside seemed really happy. A few techs seemed happy but most were completely overwhelmed.

The company gives their full support to their Techs especially for their education and training. There is a broad range of opportunities for Techs for career progression. I can say that Radius is really invested in our education for us to succeed in our career. Workplace culture is fun,  warm and welcoming, I never felt that I was a newbie when I first joined the company. Employees are nice to work with and management is easy to talk to if you have concerns, they value the employee’s opinion and suggestions. There are a lot of activities and programs for the staffs that are beneficial not only for the professional relationship which builds camaraderie for the team but also for our own well being to provide work life balance. Another bonus is that they also include your family in some of these activities. Facilities and tools for the techs are top-grade. Radius quality of work is excellent, the company does not only value customer satisfaction but also emphasize on the importance of this job to make everyone safe. 

I have been in the security industry for over 25 years and if I could go back in time I would have chosen to work at Radius for the past 25 years.  You do not realize how good of a company you can work for until you are here with Radius. We are a family run business and it shows in every way.  You are not a number, you are a cherished family member from the day you start.  The culture created here is the utter best where you can work closely amongst friends.  Management has open door policy and you can go to them for anything, even personal situations.  You are treated with dignity and respect and every day you walk around the office you will see employee's smiling.  When visitors come in it is one of the most common statements made of how happy everyone seems as they are greeted.  I would have to say the most enjoyable part of the job is our people - we all really grow together as a team.  If you want to work for the best company ever then reach out to Radius - we are growing not only in BC but all across Canada and down to Texas.  You will not be sorry !!!

I have been here for almost a year and so far this company lives by their DNA. People are friendly and very welcoming, everyone is willing to help if you're in need; mistakes are never shunned, instead they are used as an opportunity to teach to help you grow within the company. This extends to management and the level of support they provide.

At this place, there is zero tolerance for customers to abuse employees. This is really important to me as at my previous job, customers could speak and do whatever they want towards employees and have their terrible behavior rewarded.

You can feel the family environment during onboarding, People and Culture (HR) truly care about the employees and are constantly looking for ways to create employee engagement.

If you want to feel like you are part of a team. This is the place to work.

Working at The Radius Group as an IT  Specialist has been a great experience. The management team is very supportive, and the work culture is one of the best I've seen. Everyone here is friendly, collaborative, and open to new ideas, which makes it easy to learn and grow.

The management genuinely cares about employees, offering opportunities for training and career development. Plus, work-life balance is actually respected, which is a big plus. Positive environment is positive and always something new to work on, but without the stress of a toxic workplace.
