What is the best part of working at the company?
I like the involvement of marketing and retail  concepts.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The supervisers varied lack of team building and rivalry amongst themselves with procedures and the companies they work for. No acknowledgement  of hard work done, or coaching areas to improve.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
My experience was ok but witnessed others that company HR showed any respect of employees. Just fill the position...do the job!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Same procedures with out knowing the general tasks that were to be done.Even the senior builders were not given any clear direction. Its hard maintaing strong work ethics when orders from top come out sporadically, unclear, and often had to do differently.

The work itself is fun and extremely easy to do but the work environment is atrocious. Communication between the client and management was so messed up we would end up doing the same section over and over again because they wouldn’t tell us how they wanted it the first time we asked. Co-workers are hostile and out of a team of 17, only 2 (including myself) were vaccinated against COVID-19. 

When a project is finished, you’re put on EI until the next project comes along or you travel. Your work efficiency does not determine whether you get called to the next project, the site supervisor explicitly stated “the only people coming to *next project* are the ones I like.”

Where to start... your time with The Reset Team will start off smooth, being ensured that you are supported and set up for success which you will soon learn is a big lie. 90% of their staff are inexperienced and they rely on temps to meet their body count putting extra stress on those few experienced people. Turn around is insane and due to the fast paced nature of work training is extremely poor. A lot of staff have substance abuse issues that they bring to work yet the company chooses to ignore out of desperation for employees. Project managers lie and sneak around the general manager to please their favourites. If you accept a job from this company just know you were warned.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Good pay, meeting other  people, relax environment if working as a team. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working with a manager/supervisor that makes a simple job sounds like a rocket science.  Supervisor that talks alot in result prevents the team to work efficiently, if you're doing well he's going pick on you.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great team , easy to work with but the supervisor.  Relax environment but a few just standing around and feeling proud of themselves.

To start out, I was only a temp....But I personally didn't have a life while working for TRT who claimed to be very team oriented except didn't care so much for their team. 

Losing people every other night I found it didn't matter how much work you put in but instead the politics and environment you had to endure. When everybody is stressed out and gossiping about one another or always tossing blame, things just didn't go well when I worked with this team.

As most Merchandisers know there are always project start dates and end dates; it is an ever changing work environment which works for me. There is not always work/jobs in my area of the city which I understand and accept.  Management is supportive and quick to recognize reliable hard working employee's.  Compensation is better than average.  Solid leadership.  Team building - site leads who really care about building a happy productive team.

Contract-based merchandising, usually on nights, which suits my lifestyle. While there is often spans of no work available, it is to be expected in this industry. Working for multiple companies  is allowed and expected. Travel arrangements to new cities is handled by the company and they use nicer hotels. Jobsites can be fast-paced and occasionally stressful, but generally teams are co-operative and fun to work with.

Transitioning to my new merchandising position has been a positive experience overall. Adapting to night shifts took some getting used to, but the job itself is fulfilling. The contract-based nature provides full-time hours during ongoing projects, with occasional downtime between contracts. The pay is commensurate with the workload, and the supportive atmosphere from both management and coworkers adds to the overall satisfaction of the role.

Start my shift work hard all night with friendly chit-chat among co- workers

Contract position for a store reset. Supervisors didn’t seem to have a handle on what was to be done.   Many jobs completed in the store had to be redone because incorrect fixtures were installed.  Permanent staff never made you feel like part of a team.  Almost rude and unfriendly.
