I worked here for three summer seasons as a Tasting Room Server. During this time I got to see the business and team grow and evolve, and I enjoyed it each step of the way! Very fun culture and enjoyable subject matter. Fast paced but far less stressful than serving in a restaurant or bar setting, with better hours. 

The owners have excellent managerial skills and go the extra step to make sure their team feels appreciated. They were kind, personable and flexible, and created a strong team culture that encouraged everyone to work well together to deliver a great experience for the customer and I think most staff felt proud of what we were able to offer. When things were busy, management and the owners would also help behind the bar, with dishes, etc. and make sure everything ran smoothly. They compensated us fairly and made the work fun. They also tended to throw a great end of season party, and did many other things along the way to keep us motivated!

Would definitely recommend working here if you are looking for full or part time serving work in the area! 

Working at The Roost is incredible. The setting is breathtaking. The owners are supportive, knowledgeable, understanding and fun. 

Many of the patrons are return clients. They love the place and the wine is wonderful. I have learned so much about the wine industry, wine making and hosting guests. 

I began working here in the summer of 2020 and cannot say that there has been a bad day. I look forward to going to work each and every day. I get to pour wine for people and to talk with them about the experience. 

The team is supportive and willing to jump in at a moment's notice. We are all pulling in the same direction. 

It is a great summer job. 




I have had the pleasure of working with The Roost Winery as a Reservations & Administrative Coordinator for the past 3 seasons. They immediately welcomed me into their family-oriented team, embraced my skillset and made me feel valued as a team member. Managements ongoing support, clear expectations and positive leadership helped relieve any stressors that a customer facing position might present. They also find creative ways to infuse fun into our routine with various initiatives, and are never shy to share their appreciation. The Roost team is the most amazing one I've ever worked with and I look forward to future seasons!

I've worked at The Roost for two seasons and will likely be back for the next one. The management, work culture, and job duties are all great, as well as getting to be in a beautiful location serving delicious wines. A typical day at work involves leading guests though wine tastings, preparing charcuterie boards, and restocking the bar. The hardest part of the job is managing customers to make sure they all have a good experience at the winery, but this is something that gets easier with experience.

I haven’t experienced stress working there.

Fun and collaborative environment where everyone supports each other. Honours the teamwork approach versus individual success or failure. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Typically busy,  active and physically demanding.

I’ve worked for the Roost for years. Each season that I return the tasting room keeps getting better. The tasting room manager and the management keep implementing procedures that support staff and improve the guest experience.  It’s fast paced, you gotta be excited by wine and understand the key behaviors behind great service. The team atmosphere, effective communication and support is amazing! 

A typical workday is full of unique tasks and challenges.  I learned about the wine industry and the work required to create a quality wine.
The workplace was a pleasant place. Supervision and review were given appropriately. An overall team directed workplace.  
The hardest part of the job was dealing with difficult weather conditions.
The most enjoyable part of the job was the positive team environment.

I have worked in this industry for more than 20 years, and I must say that this is my absolute favourite workplace. The team works together seamlessly, and the management is always helpful, supportive and efficient. The owners are incredibly organized, which makes our job much more manageable. Moreover, they treat their staff with respect and appreciation. I am grateful to be a part of such a wonderful workplace in such a beautiful location.

The owners and managers go above and beyond on so many levels! They created a positive work experience, were helpful with the onboarding process, incredibly flexible with work hours, and are so generous with their time and support. I couldn't have asked for better people to make me feel so comfortable and excited to go to work. This supportive culture makes even busy days seem easy. I would HIGHLY recommend working at the Roost! You will have the best time!
