The Royal Montreal Golf Club

I'm privileged to have a job in a fun environment and at a world renown golf course. Members are nice and my coworkers make it pleasant to come back to work each and every day. My customer service skills have improved a lot, since my job is not only to maintain the locker room area but is to ensure that the members come to the club to relax and to forget about their stress. The hardest part of the job I would say is that we do sometimes encounter snobby members that do take advantage of any situation but other than that its smooth sailing. The enjoyable part of my work are the coworkers!

I've been working in the kitchen for many years. The Club has very high standards yes but it gives you a massive sense of fulfillment because of  their standards are so high. 
Even though the club is fast-paced, sometimes makes it stressful it's a very fun environment to work in. Lots of room for personal and professional growth.
The hardworking employees are listened to by the Executive Chef with compassion and understanding and we are treated fairly. They take care of all their good employees.Always open to new and creative ideas.  
Overall an amazing place to work with happy and positive people.

Club members are entitled. Don't expect to see any tips. Management is full of themselves and are only there to please club members. The restaurant manager should be ashamed with the low quality foods that he feeds the customers with. It's honestly baffling to know how much they charge for food that should only be served in a motel. As a waiter I need to have some sort of confidence in the food that I am bringing out...

The pay is far too low for the amount of work that is required and is simply not competitive with other server positions. Management is disorganized and lacks basic communication skills. Management's treatment and appreciation of the staff is lacking, evidence by the extremely high employee turnover rate. The only enjoyable part of the job is the helpful and friendly servers you work with. But if salary and feeling valued by your bosses is important to you, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

I have worked at this Club for 26 years and have learned a lot about human nature and enjoyed the atmosphere every season! It can be stressful/fast-paced but we also have down time where we can relax and have fun with each other. All departments (kitchen, lockers, maintenance, office, golf, grounds) cooperate with each other and interact on a daily basis. 
We are one big royal family and often get together throughout the off season to catch up.

I have been working at The Royal Montreal Golf Club while completing my studies. It is a good job to have, I work full time in the summer and the managers are great and work around my school hours so that I can work part time in the spring and fall. My coworkers are a lot of fun and everyone is supportive. It is definitely not a job where you can get away with the bare minimum, you are expected to actually work. The Members are also very friendly.

The good part of this job is the coworkers you will have fun times at work with them. Other than that not many positives, salary is low management is unsupportive and even rude sometimes they rarely give any compliments or show any appreciation and do drink on the job. You pay for the staff meal program and food is usually not good. Had a decent summer but mostly glad to be done with this job.

Flexible schedule, meets full time hours, always a lot going on so every day is something different, friendly members who are interested in getting to know you and supportive coworkers, great work environment, staff golfing privileges

In all the years I had worked at the Royal I’d have to say I haven’t seen much improvement in the way they treat their staff. You feel unworthy at most times .Never a thank you, always a do this do that never a when you have a chance! It’s also lacking very basic communication skills by the management.time to step up and treat people right , #newmanagementteam

Constant verbal abuse, long hours, no breaks, all for very little pay. Do not work here. Not a single person enjoyed the job. Horrible management and you will never be thanked for working in the rough conditions. We were also short staffed and they didn't hire new people.
