The Sandbar Seafood Restaurant

I worked at The Sandbar Seafood Restaurant a dishwasher with the intention of having a part time job here. Unfortunately my experiences caused me to want to quit almost immediately. The fast paced environment was nice as you were always aiming to work harder however some some of my colleagues were somewhat rude. The wages between the dishwashers were very different. The newer hires got a hirer pay while I remained with my original pay. Another disadvantage about this job is that they don’t do direct depositing to your banking institution.

working there is great. the pay is good, it’s kinda a hard job but once you get the hang of it it should all be good. it’s at a pretty location, right in granville island, very nice.

Was able to gain valuable knowledge that i will be able to bring on to my next job. Example : cooking methods, butchery, filleting fish.
Would reccommend for entry level cooks to learn more

The Sandbar, when I worked their was new to the city, the staff were young(ish) and a lot of fun.  The management were solid and the tips good.  My time their was enjoyable.

Not much to say. I was a high school student and that was evening job to earn my own pocket money. Just a job, nothing special. However, required a distant travel and attention to details.

Great place to work , team atmosphere . Always busy due to great location , loved it there . So nice under the bridge on the patio . I worked the patio most nights , then had a good time with staff after work 

The staff was my family, the managers respected you as you did them. All in all, great time. I was able to learn how to handle stressful situations. great hours. great fun

managers have been very understanding with hours and everyone at work is always very nice. honest pay and sometimes on a busy day you can get a good amount of tips


The Sandbar offers a great opportunity for industry professionals to earn a good income while allowing each individual to be themselves within a good team culture.

Sandbar is an ok ok place to work with. I would recommend the place if you are looking for a job that can earn you enough. The managers with brutally cut the hours during winter.
