The Telegram

I would wake up early for work, I had many papers to deliver, many days I would take several trips because there were to many papers to carry all at once. I learnt how to deal with customers and be an efficient and speedy worker. I learnt money management and how to fix problems and complaints in a positive manner. My manager was always presenting me with additional work opportunities such as delivering extra pamphlets to all houses or selling raffle tickets, etc. I took on many of these extra opportunities and excelled in them. I had no co-workers. The hardest part of the job would have to be delivering flyers because there was hundreds of them. I would have to deliver them to every house wether they buy the Telegram or not. Also fighting the seasons would be one of the worst parts of this job. On horrid snowstorms in the Winter I would have to go out and deliver the papers, the snow up to my neck. The most enjoyable part of the job would have to be interacting with so many different customers and becoming friends with them. I would also recieve many tips from numerous customers and I felt accomplishment with my labours.

I starting delivering newspapers in 6th grade, and at the time making any money at all was amazing to me. Trouble arose when the newspaper industry started to die down and many people that I delivered to unsubscribed. Towards the end of my time there I had to pay more to buy the newspapers than I made selling them. I am not sure if it has changed since then.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When i was doing perfect according to my way and manager told me to like as old ways which are not effective and efficient

I worked at this job as a kid pre high school and worked my butt off and was lucky to collect 100 bucks at the end of a two week pay period. Delivering papers in rain and snow, relying on customers tips often they pay digitally now and do not tip

I was busy with work and studying the Education.So I go work that why I left the Telegram flyer newspaper mailroom.Now I trying got back  to mail rooms.

The only thing you need to do as a paper deliver is send paper to every customer in the early morning.
It is a good job for people who want to do excises in the morning and earn extra cash  at the same time.

It was a very good experience to work as an inserter with The Telegram. I used to select the flyers and then were putting in the plastic bags for different communities of Newfoundland.

Is fun to work with people from drifferent country know about there culture and all 
It was really good to work there it was not hard.

strongly disliked the hours of work and how little money I got for doing it. liked having extra money at the age I was but it would never be enough to live off of.

Its a stressful place with a daily deadline. The upside, you are never bored, its every day changing and the people are great. Always something new to learn.
