. Most shop tools broken
.Service van is completely unorganized and dirt, making it horrible for service calls
.Supervisors switch regularly 
.Supervisors will also run you down and your quality of work and decision making on a regular basis 
.No raises/wage increases 
.Employer and Supervisors only focus on negative aspect of job and quality of work
.Nit picky 
.Have to listen to customers come in and complain about bill since their truck was torn apart before their approval 
.No chance for training or improvement of skills as everyday is either annual inspection or service
.will fire whoever for whatever reason they so desire
.at the truck shop you are just a number and nothing more
.supervisor likes to play head games and discourage high school students wanting to learn and enter the trade 
.only perk of the job was the ability to only have to suffer a weekend there, and the co-workers
.guys on the floor are good guys and will likely be the only reason you stay 
.work orders are all hand written on hard copies and will also be nit picked through by supervisor
.guys come and go often and choose not to stay for reasons above
.No appreciation
.not worth you time! 




Does not comply with MTO, health and safety, or Environment Canada regulations. Hands out safety certificates like candy. The motto is "no one will know" and told to turn a blind eye to MTO safety standards and repairs. 

No respect for time off. Expect calls and emails to your personal cell 24/7 for the most minor things (at ALL hours, whether you just got off shift or have already gone to bed). 

Management is stuck in its ways and pretty oblivious to major issues. There are pretty simple solutions to problems that could be implemented but aren't. Ego gets in the way and they would rather deal with the same issues every day than bother changing anything or even admitting anything is wrong.

If you see a truck coming from here... stay clear. Has had multiple wheel-offs in the past couple months alone.

The management at The Truck Shop are very positive, upbeat and highly skilled people and they look for the same qualities in the people they hire.  They are a family oriented shop and that helps to create a supportive environment to everyone’s needs at work and home.  This helps create a positive work environment and helps make going to work everyday easy.  It is a busy, fast paced shop that is always adapting to new technologies, offers flexible work hours with good benefits and is a good learning environment.  Management is always open to suggestions for improvement and with a strong business case have approved employee suggested equipment in the past.  These purchases have made for a better, more productive work environment.     

They are active in the community and encourage staff participation in events.      

My experience at the truck shop helped propel me into the position I hold know as a service manager of a large fleet of truck and trailers. The management staff treated everyone fare and gave everyone equal opportunity to improve. 
The knowledge, confidence, and experience I gained as a mechanic with the truck shop was irreplaceable, and I’m very grateful of the opportunity I was given while there. 
I use the truck shop know when we become to swamped in our shop, or for larger jobs that require faster turn around.
The truck shop is a great place to work that appreciate team oriented people, and hard workers 

Worked with The Truck Shop Strathroy for around a year, always an energetic and upbeat environment. Management is extremely helpful and supportive to make new tasks or experiences easy to learn and understand. My array of experience grew very quickly as I got to work on a huge variety of different truck and trailer setups. Fantastic group of mechanics there with years of experience on every kind of job. I’d recommend this workplace to anyone who is looking to advance their career and broaden their skill set. 

Lovely ppl, but shop is a little back dated, locations cool, work in the summer is hot. Work in the winter isn't lovely.  But make the best of it, cause it's dirty, unorganized, and hopefully there is a new supervisor. WARNING everything is manually entered when it comes to work orders, nothing is digital. Clock times are a pain, only 1 computer in the entire shop, make sure you write your stories... yes stories 


Great environment to work in, management is very nice and will always make time to work with employees if problems arise.

Shop has a great culture surrounding it and has made a place where work can be fun and enjoyable. They've put together a great group that are easy to approach and have no problem lending a hand if needed.

It is a very good feeling looking forward to going to work everyday, the team they have built is spectacular. The diagnostic/troubleshooting equipment mixed with the wide variety of trucks/equipment to work on everyday will keep you sharp and educated.

The truck shop provided an opportunity and took a chance, regardless of previous experience. The owners and management are family oriented and understand the value and importance of that for others. It's a busy place and the hustle is real. If you work hard, your value will not go unrecognized. 

Busy and enjoyable place to work with opportunities to learn multiple positions and increase knowledge daily. Management are approachable and engaged.  Overall a positive work space with knowledgeable technicians.
