What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
the most stressful time i have working at the walper is when we have a full house cheking out and a full house cheking in and the check out guest wants a late check out and the manager says no 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
the work environment was excellent but the culture was a bit different reason is language barrier was a bit difficult to understand

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
 my typical day i start working every morning 9;00 make sure the guest is sastified with my service that i provide for each and every one

Overall, not a horrible experince I worked in the back for most of my time there and the people were great most of the time. No judgement at all at the workplace and would hire people from all different paths which was great. Worked well with my work-life balance and were always accepting to make changes to accommodate me. Management was alright aswell as staff. They really tried to make you feel like apart of the team with yearly staff parties and going out to the club every other week. Pay was bad and some bosses were weird, at the end. Enjoyed my stay, loved my co-workers won't go back but am thankfull of my time there. 7/10

The Walper Hotel has the friendliest management staff and an excellent work culture, with exceptional pay. You will be taught everything you need to know on-site, management is patient, respectful, fun, and understanding. I am almost two years removed from the Walper (I only left because I was moving) and miss the job terribly. There’s room for growth within the workplace and they will give you the tools to succeed in any area they ask you to work in. 

As a building maintenance and operations manager I was not given full autonomy over my department. This created redundancy and frankly unavoidable breakdowns as relating to the responsibilities the position holds due to a lack of communication further exasperated by a lack of formal policies and disruptive top down management that suffered the tunnel vision due to lack of true understanding, needs or individual realtime departmental workflow. 

The Walper is a hugely disorganized mess from the top down. The management relies too heavily on front desk staff to "fix" all the problems pertaining to the hotel (air conditioners, water issues etc.). All in all the Hotel is needing of extensive repairs and has yet to find an investor committed enough to taking on the challenge. It is passed off as a high end hotel, which would have been true in its earlier years but has now since fallen into disrepair, not a good value if you are looking to stay in the area.

Day to day tasks varied depending the day, and the number of guests checking in/out. It was usually fairly busy as we replenished coffee/tea and milk to guests each day, wrote personal welcomes cards, and welcomed early check ins.

I learned better skills at handling angry/disgruntled guests. I also learned the importance of following through on your word, and making sure things get completed.

It was always exciting when high profile guests would come in, or there would be a big event and the hotel would be full of people and buzzing with excitement.

Been working here for a little while and have yet to receive a full pay check, they don’t really care about you and you are easily replaceable. 

Your supposed to get paid $16.50 however on paystubs it’s $16.00 even though they say they will correct it.
They literally deduct money from your pay check and come up with bogus answers. WORST COMPANY TO WORK FOR BY FAR!!!!!

Management is very mess there is a lot of turn around for both hourly and managers.  Good food and good coworkers, you gain a lot of knowledge from who works there and they have a strong team of hourly people. However management needs to recognize this and rely on them more and give them more opportunities for advancement. 

There’s needs to be more up lifting and good energy in stead of having favourites being picked. If someone is trying to strive in the company show them ways to strive, don’t turn them away help them. “Cause you never know how could become your boss one day.”

Working here requires hardwork and time management. It can be overwhelming sometimes when it gets busy but other than that the work is fine. 

As long as you do your job properly, you are safe to be in a regular position after three months of evaluation.
