I've worked for quite a few family run greenhouses and I have to say, Westbrook is one of the best around. They actually care about the well-being of their employees giving cost-of-living raises yearly. They also pay their employees over-time which is something most greenhouses don't do because they fall under agriculture.
The group of people I worked with were so fun and kind. It made everyday a good day. I loved working with plants and picking out unique varieties for specific orders. 
Hours were a strict 7:30-4 which is unlike other greenhouses because typically you don't know when the days end is. 
They give away plants to their employees during holiday times and give extra gifts to show their appreciation of their employees hard work. 
If you need extra hours to pay some bills, they always have a crew that works on Saturday's. 

Long hours,underpaid,understaffed,underappreciated. Company is cheap and pretends to care about it's workers. 

It takes months to try and get a raise,they will try and not give you one, and it will take months for it to take affect. HR is useless, they won't solve or do anything for you. Certain workers will get certain privileges and there's nothing you can do about it. Office workers will come down to the warehouse occasionally, and basically look down upon you.

Only positives: You get paid for working,The people in the warehouse are good people, trying their best to get by, working with them is fun.

Start at 7, make flower arrangements until 4.
You learn how to make flower arrangements.
Management is understaffed and not empathetic to the front line workers.
Your co-workers will work hard or soon be replaced.
The hardest part of the job is working without proper equipment or working without product or clear production goals.
The most enjoyable part of the job is when management wants to treat themselves or make the workplace better for them and the front line workers benefit from that directly or indirectly.

Worked in extreme heat or cold.
Repetitive tasks, criticized, no training.
Never knrw where and when our next sbift was kr when it started until 4pm to 9pm the night before.
Demanded excessive overtime without pay increase.
Shifts ended when we were told, very inconsistent.
Asking questions ended up in getting written uo.
Unsafe workplace.
If one employee was late from lunch, everyone was docked pay.
Promised advancement, over and over, it nrver came.
Calling in sick, even with a doctors note was reprimanded.

Westbrook Systems is the type of company where they like employees who just wants to go to work, keep their heads down, do their job, then go home. If you’re on the production floor, it will get boring because none of the work requires you to use your brain to think and it’s not mentally stimulating at all. Although, Westbrook will always try and avoid laying people off so you might find yourself doing an easier task with no change in your pay rate.

Work your butt off in a warehouse, minimum wage, no benefits. Good team to work with but management could care less if you're alive other than they'd have to do your work if you weren't. Best part of working there is the other employees. Worst part was holidays, work until the job was done, even if that was 18 hours or more.

Good for someone looking for a job solely in the summer, co-workers can be rude to other employees. A bit unorganized when it comes to orders being prepared as well as not much room for mistakes without employees getting annoyed. Good job for someone who likes warehouse jobs though as well as fast paced environments.

i would make flowers all day at work. I have learned how to make flower boutiques and how to treat plants. Management is very nice and understanding like family.workplace culture was very neat, clean , respectful and like family. I found nothing hard about this job. Everything about this job was enjoyable.

Westbrook Floral was a great place to work. If you worked hard, you were recognized and compensated.  Management was easy to talk to, and had an open door policy. Fellow colleagues were great. Best place I ever worked and I would return in a heartbeat.

I was filing for the book keeping people for all the paper work that they had and helping them out with all the paperwork that they need to get done by a certain time frame
