Those little donuts

Worked with 3 affiliated companies over the course of 3 seasons. 
Each position had its own perks and downfalls:

- Thrill Masters (Euro Bungee Ride Attendant): fun outdoor position, keeps you active and engaged with customers of all ages. Simple training process and enjoyable work experience because of the high energy environment, especially when actively engaged with customers. Management was friendly and always willing to teach and help out to ensure both customer and employee safety and enjoyment. Fellow employees are motivated, enthusiastic, young at heart individuals that turn the job into a thrill for everyone. 

- Coke Cup Stand: rather lonely and slow paced position. Duties included taking orders, accepting cash payments from customers and inputting sales to digital sales tracker. Must be certified in Food Safety & Handling (training provided at grounds). 

- Those Little Donuts: Fast paced, tedious, and exciting, Employee team is filled with great people that make the donut stand an experience for everyone. Whether it be a rained out day, a late night after the fireworks set off, or a mile long line-ups type of day the crew is supportive and works well together. Management was also fantastic and just as hardworking as any other employee. Duties included donut bagging, cash till transactions, and having a blast. 

[While each position had very different experiences, my favorite position, which I would return to in the future, would be Those Little Donuts. While the most stressful at times because of fast pace, by far the most enjoyable and easy to get through on long shifts. Most of the management is really great for the entirety of the affiliated companies, there were managers that were not so great either. Commitment and high energy is a must for any position.]

This company is willing to take a chance on you, and is a good starter job.

 I worked for them for 10 days at our local fair. I was able to work various positions including working cash, serving donuts, and cleaning. Serving donuts was the best part of the job! Be aware that this job may not be right for you if you are hard of hearing or have trouble standing for long periods of time. 

If you are good at mental math and talking to people, ask to work cash as it gives you good experience and looks great on your resume! This job was pretty intense and stressful at times, but as long as you are able to make it through all the hard work, this temporary job will pay off on future resumes! Best of luck! 

receiving payments and making donuts, your taught the donut making method its really simple, management always has a smile and a eam oriented outlook to any problem, overall workplace was comfortable for people of all backgrounds, cleaning is the hardest part and could sometimes drag on. best part was serving the kids donuts and being a "carny", when its you behind the counter your the one bolstering the experience for the children, overall an amazing opportunity, 10/10 would do it again.

Everything was good, except for management and hours, puts on 8-hour schedule but typically only gets like 4 hours. General labour that one doesn't apply for it, example,  I applied for the cashier position, but I did some lifting, customer service and so on. Overall its fun, loud music, free donuts and the staffs were very friendly and take care of you. Absolutely no racism just being saying(honestly).

I was looking for a fun summer job. Instead I was forced to do tasks that were inappropriate. It is not worth the little amount of money you get paid. I was told I was going to be paid $15/hr but later found out I was getting paid $13/hr. Don’t go to the owners for anything, they wont do anything about it. They also made me work hours that I’m legally not Allowed to work.

Pros

I had a blast, the  majority of the people were amazing and the pay was pretty good for me. I didn't get complaints from costumers it was all just having fun while working it was a friendly environment

The first year I worked there was great and only got better the following years. The bosses were all really nice and treated everyone as equal. If I ever needed a day off or just wanted a scheduling change they were more than happy to help me.

Workplace was continuously clean and organized, coworkers maintained a professional as well as fun and welcoming attitude towards colleagues and customers. Training was easy to follow and supervisors remained patient and understanding to new employees.

It was very fast pace but sometimes a little unorganized and rushed. Very nice people but not very good training. It was an overall fun experience. I had friends who worked there with me. Although the breaks were very short and I did not have much time to eat lunch.

As much as I’ve enjoyed working for the last 3 years. I think this institution lacks proper management and is left unorganized and unprofessional. I much rather enjoy being a crew leader to help these flaws and make sure we are giving the best service possible
