What is the best part of working at the company?
I think the best part of working at the company is the supportive team culture and open communication. Being able to rely on coworkers and share ideas easily makes work more efficient and enjoyable

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful aspect can be handling caseloads during peak times. That said, the team environment is very supportive, which helps reduce stress and maintain a positive workplace

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture is positive and collaborative. Colleagues are supportive, and there’s good communication across the team, which creates a comfortable and productive work environment.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day begins at 8:30, starting with prioritising tasks based on urgency. The day involves a mix of meetings, caseload reviews, client visits, and follow-ups, ensuring that all work is managed effectively and clients are supported appropriately.

Stressful place to work where nobodys been trained to do their job...because you have a high caseload and management doesnt care because its "normal". 
They let their Foster homes & parents get away with things that everyday parents would get their kids taken away for. 
Management team made up of mostly women who wanted to be the mean girls in highschool but didnt make the cut so their making up for it every chance they get. Makes for a toxic environment where you cant ask questions and actually get an answer and LEARN something...and you can forget getting any help...supervisors know the least! And theres 0 accountability  All you'll have is inevitable regret for taking the job. This is why they have such a high turnover! But they don't care cuz they always have another cousin to hire. Lastly, if your not indigenous dont bother applying here.Even if you get the job,  They'll treat you like a leapar.

Knowledgeable and experienced Managers, some with unhealthy attitudes.  Fantastic Training if your Manager allows it.  System of dealing with children at risk is advanced, but it is not followed up due to volume of turnover.  Many staff afraid to take breaks or to talk to each other in office.
Helping families in crisis is as rewarding as it is challenging.  Some families do not receive the support they should.  The negative attitude permeates the building and employees are often reminded that they can be replaced.

Strong neoptism. Budget has been drastically cut, leaving with less jobs, dropping supervisors and workers. They used to pay their workers money for meals in regards to long shifts, they cut that also. 

One supervisor says one thing, the other says another, contradicting information. Co-workers are confused by this as well. Better off going with your own intuition. 

Management has fallen apart with no regards to pick it back up. This company has tremendous capabilities but they cannot get in order. Highly disappointing. 

The agency lacked real professional skills. The work ethics were very poor. The environment was also very threatening and without real professional and skill based environment and or support. There were real questions i had about the openness of drug use such as that of Cocaine.

Job requires personal commitment, support, caring, compassionate and empathetic servitude to those needing help. Working with others just as caring as you creates great culture. Recognizing others are doing their best. 

My unit specifically is great.  Get opportunity for OT, supervisor is understanding and helpful, willing to work with you to meet your needs. Pay is great, i feel that I am paid well for what I do. There is lots of culture, as we are an indigenous agency so lots of many cultures working together.  I enjoy working witg Tikinagan and knowing that we are making a difference even if it is small. Some Units are a bit more stressful then others.

Working up north and traveling to remote communities presents unique challenges that increase your level of competence. Working with a population that is often taken advantage of and under represented in the broader Canadian society presents unique barriers and stigmas but these challenge you to think outside the box and help others.

Love working with tikinaagan! Supervisors are super supportive and understanding when something needs to be addressed! Great bunch in Dryden ON. Very welcoming and diverse and they make you feel sooo welcome! I recommend tikinaagan to ANYONE! 

I loved working for Tikinagan, benefits and salary were great. 
At times I would worry about job security as it could be a little political but over all, I believe that have been the best employer I have ever worked.
