The management is HORRENDOUS. At the interview they will probably make it seem like their company is doing amazing and how many employees they’ve been able to hire just in the past few months (because all those employees quit LOL). Everything that they will tell you is INCORRECT. They made me stay on the phone ALONE for a long period of time (at least a month) They make schedules that you can’t change because they want to keep the team small to minimize their cost as MUCH AS POSSIBLE. The management doesn’t show up to work more than the employees LMAO. There’s simply no room for growth in this company even if you work your hardest and everyone knows that you deserve the promotion. I’ve worked for 3 call centres yet this is definitely my worst experience in this sector of the industry. The whole organization seems very money oriented ever since the company was sold in 2015 to Gibraltar & Company.. you will realize that on your first day because that’s mostly what all their employees and long-time customers will tell you either in person or on the phone. I deeply regret working for this company and I personally really wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone at all.. not even immigrants! I hope I’ve save some careers with my review!

During my time at Tilley, it became clear that the organization is top-heavy, with far more people in upper management roles than in operational positions. This leads to a significant disconnect between planning and execution, with very few individuals actually responsible for completing the work.

Be prepared for your role to grow well beyond the scope you were hired for—without any corresponding increase in compensation or resources. Upper management, including the CEO, frequently contacts staff well outside of regular working hours, with little regard for work-life balance.

Turnover is alarmingly high; it’s rare for employees to stay longer than six months, often due to burnout or frustration with the lack of structure and support.

While the brand has a strong heritage, the internal work environment needs serious improvement to retain talent and support long-term growth.

Working for Tilley Endurables was never the same. Every single day, the store would be filled with customers and it is my job to assist them. I've learned and adapted the skills to communicate better with others and gained customer service/work experience. All the co-workers were very friendly, as well as the managers too. The hardest part of the job is to stand all day. I love to help people more than myself and I believe that is the most enjoyable part of the job.

They are an old school mentality who don’t want to be progressive. Too many decision makers without progress due to severe lack of communication. Everyone works long hours because there is no plan and don’t realize this isn’t necessary or how other companies operate. My leader hardly spoke to me and did nothing to support me but had high expectations 

Working at Tilly's was fun and unforgettable experience.I learned to be independent and to manage my time. My co-workers helped encourage me to do more then what was asked. The hardest part from my job was moving heavy boxes and dealing with some costumers. But other than those minor difficulties of the job the rest of my time there was fun and ethical.

Great workplace environment. Felt like it was run as a family business. Good pay and flexibility. Seemed to really care of customers and employees. At the time the pay was more than minimum wage and the benefits were great 

What is the best part of working at the company?
I think the salary was the best part. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The boredom and lack of action.

Definitely not a place to advance career, plus they may just fire you without notice after working there for 17 years. No growth opportunity, no development in any way.
