Management is incompetent, dishonest and deceitful.

They pay minimum wage and expect maximum effort. The wages at this company are far from competitive. You could make more money working at 7-Eleven but they expect you to stay late, work through injuries and god forbid they find out you're fielding other offers, they will make your work life miserable until you leave.

The owner is clueless and and has no idea what's going on within his company or maybe he just doesn't care? Hard to say but if you look at the youtube video that the owner did, watch him say he knows nothing about the poultry business and surrounds himself with people who allegedly know what they're doing.

This place has a high turnover among not only its production employees but among their management staff as well. Makes you wonder...

It is common practice to ignore harassment complaints and injury reports.

I would not recommend anyone work here. If you value your time and your self dignity, look elsewhere.

This organization has potential to be more than it is. 

Communication does not exist between each department which creates a bad feeling for everyone.

Management will cancel production lines with only minutes/hours notice, constant call ins for production and warehouse.

It can be a relaxed and easy job. You do keep jumping and always doing something which is fantastic. However that is due to an inconsistent team and call ins from all departments.

If it were run more smoothly with better management, this place could be above it's standards it has now.


I start the day typically by helping unload bulk packages of poultry to prepare them for IQF. I am labelled as a 'runner' so wherever I see there is help needed, that's where I go. My manager is very accommodating to everyones' needs (i.e.. medical or physical issues) and strategically places people to areas that they can comfortably work in. The hardest part of my job is sometimes the heavy lifting, I consider myself very strong but if I am not rested enough that day that can limit my abilities. The most enjoyable part of my job is being able to work with pleasant people.

I have worked at this place for about a year now and they don't appreciate anything that you do they belittle you you dont get paid enough for what you do. They expect wo much for each employee that works there but dosent appreciate what they do . I would definitely not recommend anyone to work here. They have went through so many employees since i have been there. And they most definitely dont care if you have children and they are sick they expect you leave them with someone else well they are sick and expect you to be at work. They have told me i needed to prioritize when my children are sick. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
They run straight shifts, day and afternoon, no midnights.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The people, politics and HR. It is like High School. Either your popular and the favourite, or you are ostracized and everyone is trying to get rid of you.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Environment is cold (literally) due to working in a fridge.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very repetitive. Limited number of task options.

The hours for days and afternoons are nice. The company is nice  in accommodating you for booking time off when it’s needed, although some employees  tries to take advantage of it. I have worked there for a few years and the management still needs some structure but what place doesn’t.  Wage has steadily increased and the company is getting bigger leaving room for advancement. I see a lot of bad reviews on here  but I think a lot of individuals forgot what it’s like to commit to a full time job.

Supply the production line with raw product of various sizes and weights;
Manually separating frozen product as it moves along the conveyor belts;
Weigh individual products to confirm sizes, weigh boxes to ensure quality standards are met for each specific customers needs, and construct boxes to contain finished product;
Cutting chicken products into required sizes;
Label finished product boxes;
Clean and sanitize production areas between product switch overs and at the end of the shift;
Other duties as assigned.

Some of the floor workers are great. The further up the ladder, the worse they get. Manager yells at people, and by-passes protocols (which has led many to quit). Can't climb the ladder unless you're willing to work around food safety regulations.

The production employees are nice people.
Management is NOT so great.
Those who work production are classified as uneducated and desperate by certain management personnel. 
Different rules for different fools.
The pay for production sucks.  Good luck getting a raise.
Management is two faced.
There is a reason they are always hiring .... don't do it.  You won't change the way the place runs.  If you have any self worth, don't do it.

Dealing with incompetent maintenance manager.
