Reading other reviews on this site and I believe many of them to be false.

Tip Top Bindery was a great company to work with and work for many years ago.  Change of ownership and declining print market changed that.

Employees received reduction in pay with many promises for advancement which never came to be.   Employees are not valued.

Red Flag - Senior Managers, Managers, Supervisors and Office staff have all left this company.  All of them long term, dedicated employees.

If you want a job making minimum wage and not advance, this is the place for you.  Otherwise, move along.

Wide range of bindery,inserting equipment with limited down time for repairs and limited teck info available about machines. For the most part the production employees are good workers but have limited skills. Maintainence needed to solve operator problems. I did enjoy being able to design and modify equipment as per production needs.This company does not reward people for going beyond even though you save monies and increase productivey.Annual raises or cost of living increases don't exist.They have a history of a high turnover in maintainence staff

A typical day at work consisted of easy manual labour with minimal instruction required.

Managment was probably the best part of my experience at Tip top Bindery. They were very understanding if not accepting of any shortcomings, and treated everyone fairly. There was almost a family atmosphere between some of the employees.
Culture was varied, but predominantly eastern and middle aged.
Hardest part of the job was returning every day, it wasn't satisfying work or particularly rewarding.
Most enjoyable part of the job was some of the coworkers.

I enjoyed the people I worked with and enjoyed my job.  I learned how to work with external stakeholders and got into database management.  The co-workers were great to work with and everyone helped each other during busy peaks.  The hardest part of the job was working nights to train the night shift on a new system.  The most enjoyable part of the job was working for my manager.  Great person to work for.

. Lifting large bundles of flyers
. Packing boxes on skids (6ft high) for mailing
. Securely plastic wrapping full skids for shipping and mailing
. Working on assembly line  
. Inserting, feeding and taking off flyers for packing  
. Using pump truck to move skids around plant

Most of the time, the machines work and the work is fast. Mailing section is easy for me. The machine work is hard. To times bending. When it's busy, the machines are very fast. If it's not busy, they will send us home.

For the past four summers, I worked as an administrative assistant/ receptionist. I answered phones, photocopied, answered employee and client concerns, entered data, filed, etc. I learned a lot while working at Tip Top Bindery.

They are a very hard working high class company. Working for them allowed me to gain valuable communication skills, and thorough understanding of a fast-past work environment.

The work availability is not steady with poor salary.That company has two peek periods for work which are back to school and Christmas.

I don't remember my experience working in this company as I worked here a long time ago. But overall, I enjoyed working here and I would say the hardest part of the job was probably assembling the binders.
