I worked as their Business Records Sales Consultant in Calgary between 2014 and 2019. I quite enjoyed my role balancing new business development with managing existing long-term accounts. Kudos to having a great Sales Manager out of Vancouver, and extremely organized Business Records Manager in Calgary, as my support and department team. 

I unfortunately left this role due to a company restructure in early 2019.

Working with Allied Van lines was a very fun adventure, i had the experience of seeing all the way from Ontario to British Columbia. The work was hard but the reward was big and well worth it. A typical day at work would be wake up and drive to the customers house load all of their stuff in the trailer and drive it to their new house and unload it all. the hardest part of the job i would have to say is lifting very heavy objects that you didn't think you could lift.

A typical work day also involved mainly account reconciliations and analysis.  The company was a good training environment for someone who wanted a career in the finance and accounting field.
 The most enjoyable part of job was the harmony that not only existed in the Accounting and Finance Department but the collaborative inter-departmental efforts to ensure the achievement of corporate goals.


Management were nice at first then they became rude, and obnoxious over time. Felt like they put on a show in order to get you to work for them. If you don't ask about the benefits that they offer after your 3 month probationary period they will not present the option to you. Family ran business so they pull a lot of strings to get the job done. Sneaky and dishonest staff, sub-par company culture.

unorganized morning, more often then not there are changes in the work schedule, get to the job and at least half the time were not properly informed of what was needed to do the job, or not properly equip with the right tools for the job. the "supervisors" dont care if something is done right, just fast. payment is always on time though and they did have alot of work, just not much room for wage advancements.

Don’t really have much to say I worked for them when I was 18 during my schooling I learned a lot within the three years at tippet when it wasn’t tippet world before the boss switch over to Sheffield

I have gotten alot of great expirence working at tippet richarson including customer service and great relationships with coworkers . The most great thing about his job is seeing all of canada and traveling...you learn alot being on the road and meeting tons of awesome customers over the years and it was a pleasure.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Coworkers are great and the owner.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It's not a stressful job. Once you are able to understand the business performing at this position it becomes easier.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Like every where else. We are a melted pot.

While I appreciated helping out customers. A few of the employees were kind but over all I did not enjoy the environment. It is difficult to say why. I found it to be not very rewarding. I know moving is an essential part of everyday life but I also feel the need to feel involved in that neccessity and less like a grunt. If ound the experiance to be somehwat negative.

hard work moving people in and out of there home I learn how to talk to people very good worker and good to work with you where the lead person on the move your the one that make out what your co-workers do its the lifting and moving the furniture out and in of there home working with your co-workers
