I have been through the ups and downs for over 10 years now. I have seen many come and many go and I've seen many come back. No matter where you go there is always going to be something(s) you don't like, you either quit and move on or you suck it up and make the most of it. 
I have met many ,many wonderful people here, and they are a huge  reason for staying so many years. 
The management has changed lots over the past couple of years, we are still finding our footing in some areas, but the future looks bright. 
We have the finest HR personnel. No matter how busy, with hundreds of emails and calls,  I can call, text or email , and 100% of the time ,I get a response within 5 minutes, with a genuine care and interest in what you have to say. 
I feel if you work hard, do your job to the best of your ability, take pride in all that you do, help others, Toolplas takes care of you.

Other than the constantly learning attitude and supportive atmosphere to those that wish to learn the trade, everything else I cannot really speak on. I recommend this place to anyone starting out and I don't recommend on staying there too long.

Very sloppy and poorly constructed management. You will be punished for speaking out if you have any problems with any employee. Human Resource doesn't actually exist there. There is no job security here unless you've already been with the company many years pre ownership change over that happened in mid 2019 in or around July-August. Not a place to start your career as a machinist or programmer.

The company is not ran well, management goes from one extreem to the next i.e. their too lax about people not doing what they're supose to then the scream at every one threaten to fire people if you take approved sick days when they "need you to work" any shift under 12 hours long is frowned apon, they love when you work 22 hour shifts straight but the dont give you O.T. for it. 
Overall

Lots of opportunity to learn with minimal repercussions on infrequent mistakes. I learned a lot about mold building and CNC machining. The only problem I had is the long hours (10-11 hour shifts, 52-53hrs/week).

Tollplas could do better with all the funding and incentive from the government to pay people better. Not the change they are paying employees. I did 

all good no problems. it was a very flrxible place to work. i worked the continental shift which was friday, saturday and sunday. it provided uniforms, benefits and RRSP saving plans with employer contributions

Great place to work wage a little low to start. But excellent conpany paid benefits after 30 days and rrsp matching and uniforms provided . Great work to life balance . Managment is great to deal with especially direct bosses.

Great place to work. Great Learning experience, and great work ethic by almost everyone. Always someone available to lend a hand or help with a difficult task. Sometimes fast paced, very rewarding.

Too bad they closed down
Best shop in town by far.  Great leadership great guys. 
Really a shame the owner let it go the way he did.  Would still be there if it was around.
