Topgolf

Working at Topgolf for over 5 years, I can say that I’ve watched the business grow as well as the people which is the best part of the job. 

Working through the ranks with people you started with, and making some unbelievable friends whilst doing it. I always had the opportunities to push and further myself, and all managers showed good respect throughout my journey. 

The culture is second to none and I do genuinely believe Topgolf is one of the only jobs that do live their core values. It  does get very busy and can get stressful at times like any workplace but I always feel your efforts get recognised and it’s a great place to work! :)

At work I would often set up the venue and organise the team, at this job I learnt leadership skills as well as people skills as working on guest services I often came face to face with difficult guests. The workplace was often always busy, high intensity and quite pressured on busy nights. The job was pretty easy after a while but I'd say that the hardest part was closing down in the evenings when its late night and people don't cooperate with you as much. The most enjoyable part was the social aspect, especially with guests as you were able to chat to them and it would really boost their experience as well as keep me entertained.

Working here is very fun and enjoyable when you are young. Majority of the workers are aged from 16-21. As I was in the age bracket when I worked there it was very enjoyable. I progressed from being a runner to a host after 6 months of working there. 
Although I was told several times I was a key member of the team and was told i could return in holidays when I was back from uni this didn't actually happen i was rudely dismissed saying I wasn't needed with no thanks for my 21 months service in the past.

I worked at topgolf for over one year was an easy job at first with decent sales incentives including commission. However as soon as you begin to make good commission they are quick to move you to a different job role in which you will work harder for less money. 

Many of the managers lack empathy or professionalism with multiple employees being promoted through friendship over actual work.

Awful place to work. Unless you weasel your way into the managers friend group, you are very much used and unappreciated. Very much like a school environment, if you’re not “popular” (aka friends with managers) you get treated like a piece of gum on the bottom of their shoe. They don’t take into consideration that you have a social life outside of work and give all holiday hours/ days off to the associates that they like the most. 

I wanted to work at topgolf as I was struggling knowing what job I wanted to do. I do not like the managers. They’re all young and know alls. They talk down to you like you’re a little baby. They set unreasonable tasks which are not always possible. Few of them are complete bullies and have nothing better to do than make peoples lives a misery.

This is a great company to work for- more aimed towards younger members of staff. There were often work socials and nights out. However, the pay was poor and you had to pay for your meals on shift- not fair when you are working for 8 hours and the food is a bit pricey. Flexible shifts

Was a good relaxed workplace, the people were good natured and fun and were keen to aid in any situation. they were constructive and helped bring out the best in me, not only this but the environment was nice, the bar was modern and comfortable.

Everyone in the company are caring , approachable and kind 
Best environment to work in everyone looks out for each other 
Jobs are always on offer there so new people join every few weeks 

pay was bad however the staff culture was always fun and helped to get through the shifts. The role itself was always very hard working especially on weekends which didn't reflect the pay you would be getting.
