I find Torch Industries to be on par with other companies in the oil and gas industry. If you are an adaptable, flexible type of person, enjoy challenges, then this is the company for you. If you are expecting 8 hrs a day, regular routine, you may want to reconsider this proffession period!. In my experience, team work is the greatest value they have. There is no room for egotistic and self serving types of people. Great opportunities for advancement if you are prepared to do the work. A "can do"attitude goes a long way with this company, I find management offers good training and field support. 

Went to Chetwynd BC for a camp job. I was told 10hrs days. Get there and I'm putting in 12 to 14hr days and getting paid for 10. One week later they drop the hours to 9 but still wanted you to put in 10 to 12 hrs. 5 days later they dropped the hours to 8 hour days. This is when 6 of us quit. I learned from other employees this is what they always do. I found my own way home so they couldn't charge me .38cents a km to get the heck out of there. My time is not free and I work in camps for the overtime as this is where you make your money. The camp was a dump Torch is so cheap that the linens were so worn and old most of it should have been thrown away. 

If you are looking to make money this is not the place. If you don't mind working staying in camp with your hours being cut down to as little as 4 hours a day or sitting in camp with no hours some days then this is the place for you...They literally cut you whenever numbers are down the least bit...had a manager say to me when I questioned him on us working for free doing work etc on our own time and he said...well what else do you have to do in camp....hahaha of course he said that..he is a part owner...so of course why shouldn't we work for free and make him more money...keep looking people unless you are desperate...

I’m a housekeeper at torch Industries I have worked here for five years and if you know how to work and put in an honest days work for an honest days pay you will do well here we work as a team we do have fun our camps are beautiful but you do actually have to work it’s not a job for someone who’s not into working as a team getting a sweat on and getting the job done, The job pays for itself as we have awesome eats,and rooms and people,see you soon a 1 of our wonderful Camps😎

I wouldn't recommend torch industrials, they make you work 11-12 hour days and only pay us for 9 hours… Management is rude and do not support the camp attendants in any way…. Un-organized…. Upon hiring they tell you, you will be given a max of one dorm per day 37 rooms, but when you arrive at camp they give you 74 rooms a day (2 dorms)…. Breaks are unpaid and so is lunch…. The reason why they are understaffed is cause of the severe work load amount and the attitude and behaviour of current management…

I have known the so called “terrible” management for almost 10 years. They have always treated me fair, never messed up on my pay, always kept me working and had a great support system. They always get me out of camp quickly when I have plans and give me a lot of time off when I need it. People are whiney, and torch doesn't reward That kind of attitude. If you stick your head down and work they will reward you. reward you in the end. I’m going on 4 years with them and havent had issues yet

This is one of the worst companies I’ve ever worked for. These people are pretty much correction officers and you are their prisoners for as long as they decide and don’t need to tell you. What a horrible company to work for, so much misinformation and lack there of. Made to travel in uncomfortable circumstances for these fools to save money. No training available for shifts. No information to login to pay works with so you can’t access your pay stubs. 

And they always cut hours bring other staff in so they can cut hours and not pay over time and I got hurt told chef she didn’t offer first aid didn’t even ask if I was ok demoted me and treated me like garbage along with rest of her night staff horrible chef/manger at time no good qualities at all

Torch industries is Joke & horrible company to work for  , I was sent to camp that was infected with mice & there was mice droppings everywhere , The Food is Terrible.. U work 10 hours get paid for 8hours & too top things off the Payroll didn't know that one of their camps was open , when it came to pay day I didnt get my cheque & when I finally did get paid they ripped me off like common thieves they are

So where do I start they wanted to hire me for a year but something wasn’t right so I finally decided to give it a try I had to pay my own way there and my hotel room came off my check would have been nice to know that I could right bad stuff about these criminals but I don’t have all day please don’t work for them even if you are desperate they will rip you off as many ways they can
