What is the best part of working at the company?
Design and Implement my own program b def on my vision of teaching children my subjects. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Paper work and substitution of the secretary.
Micromanagement of administration who do not appreciate teachers job.
Lack of mechatism to discipline  students and disrespect of the teacher profession in Ontario school system. Union is weaker to protect teacher profession.
Old teachers with plenty experience principals great fault allegations to get rid of and send to early retirements. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very poor work environment.
Teachers send often rotate from school to different schools . Difficult yo settle in one community and create good relationship among children due to changes; 
and often are given subjects that they must teach without learning opportunities last minute. In October after given teacher assignment , might be changes due to number of students and teacher with less seniority could be sent to different school. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Morning stressful beginning and overwhelming end of the days ; calling to
Parents. Dealing with difficult cases, lack of admin support. 
Fear to be sent home due to false allegations that might appear due to difficult children. Overall, insecure job on Ontario. No guarantee of stability in school system.

My position was changed to a completely unrelated position without a signed contract. This has resulted in overwhelming stress as I had lost all job security when my status was changed to "casual" staff. Be careful with the titles and always demand a signed agreement with the TDSB as you should not trust management for their word. If there is mention of your position changing, ensure to ask as many questions about your responsibilities and benefits to ensure no foul play. If there is any detail missing from a written document do not sign and look elsewhere.

Secure, benefits, friendly environment, flexible, competitive salary 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
May need to deal with student misbehaviours. Need to communicate with parents and guardians from time to time. Many administrative deadlines. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
School setting that is friendly, respectful, and clean. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
8-4p follow the school timetable and teach 5-6 50min period classes of approximately 30 students. 1-3hrs of administrative work to be completed daily.

The tone of the school depends largely on the principal.  So there's a wide range but overall my experiences at TDSB schools have been enjoyable and  supportive.  I was support staff during lunch break with a team.  All the teachers and admin I have met are above average in classroom management, creativity, collegiality and leadership. It's a great school board to learn and grow in leadership skills .

Attending SALEP and SALC meetings. court attendance and preparing reports and counseling to the students and their families

Wake up early only if it is necessary for swim team development

TDSB's lack of backbone with violent students and bullying parents

Depressing and resignment of the teachers. Indifference of students

Show up, do your best, go home, answer emails and mark at night

Centrally organized so you feel very disconnected from management. Job is super relaxed. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lots of calling random people in the office if you need something often you don’t know who to even contact. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Depends on schools you work at

This job has allowed me to develop my skills as a teacher. As an instructor i am challenge by my students. Also the board offers Simple convenient online Training programs and Great benifts.

All give me a sense of pleasure to show up for work. Working in such an environment also gave me the opportunity to contribute to my community. There is a diversity and everyone works toward their goals.
