Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites

This hotel was a starting point for me and I enjoyed every moment. Everything I did learn has and will be put to good use.
Management at the hotel are all very welcoming and helpful and goes out of their way to help and develop each stuff member and prepares them for success in their future.
Each day was filled with fun and new things to learn but I would have to say the hardest part of my job their was always taking on to much at once but with the help of both my managers they helped me with time management and organizationally skills and stress management.

The most enjoyable part of my job was working with the diverse group of guests. I love seeing a satisfied customer/guest after I've been able to assist them with their request(s). The part that made me smile the most, was the recognition from guests that I've previously helped. It's an amazing feeling when a guest you've gone above and beyond expectations for knows your name.

But over all nice place has room to change. It was going to do renovation but that was almost 7 years ago. Still nothing. But get me wrong its a great place if you know what your doing.

Toronto don valley hotel & suites (TDV) has great friendly people working there . The job environment makes you feel like family and thus making it easy for you to come out with ideas that can help improve the company overall .

Bad upper management.  Unsupportive of middle management.  
Provided little or no training or support for success in roles.
Difficult unionized enviro.

Never discuss issues very openly, there is lot gossiping  among employees. Don't resolve the guest issues. Hotel condition is very poor . Lot of he said, she said and there is no direct communication.

You are always on call , staff are unhappy . there is't much team player that work there , staff does not give there 100% .you have to pay for your meal .

I had a great experience here and it was a good practice for me how to handle the challenging time and issues, how to maximize the customer satisfaction and how to work in a high pressure work place.

It’s okay especially if you need to build your experience, employees and management are friendly and cooperative. There are rooms to grow within the hotel and between departments.

When I worked that hotel  I gotten a good experience. All managing staff are helpe full and friendly ,and safe work place for employees.
