One day at Sunnybrook as a Personal Support Worker, and there was this nurse who came to check the patient I was looking for. She checked his blood pressure and it was very low about 85/50 and she did not continue to investigate further, instead, she left. Before she left I asked her to put him back to his bed bad she told me that she will come back later. However, I know there is something abnormal with a patient, so when she left I did my own assessment such as capillary filling check and checking the color around his lips. His lips turned blue and he started to sweat. I called the call bell and yelled for help. They came and the patient started to desaturate but they did quick help like giving oxygen and IV bolus. If I was not there the patient might have died. So I learned that  nurses' negligence can cost lives. Speaking about enjoyable part of a job is when the employee works with great harmony and love. No tension among each other, support each other as family. The hard part of a job is when there is a coworker who does not come on time, not complete his or her job, and uncooperative.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Well I was a volunteering for head and Neck Floor  and also doing News paper delivery as well and I LOVED IT. It WAS SOOOOO WONDERFUL And I am  Grateful for Having a Chance to Work  there With a BIG TEAM  and the Doctors and must important thing is getting to Know and Meating the Patient's.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nothing. But people would say it is a BIG HOSPITAL AND ALL IS GOING ON BUT ALL WAS GOOD FOR ME BIT I WAS NERVOUS AT FIRST BUT ALL WENT AWAY.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Everyone was doing Great and I saw Nothing Wrong with the culture Not the Hospital environment Every one was doing there own Thing and NOTHING GOT INTO THE WAY OF NO ONE EVERTHING WENT GOOD.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It was just like a Next Working Day. And just looking forward to meet and greet and Have A Blessed Day Work.

Coworkers are amazing and super supportive, but management does not have your back and respond well to feedback to help better work conditions. Management, at least on my floor, often tries to talk you into doing what would only work out in their own interest and at your own or your team's expense. What makes it so difficult to be leaving this job apart from commute time is how amazing our nursing team is, they understand how hard it is with our unsafe  patient workloads and we all help eachother anyway we can. If it were not for them, I would have been long gone. Benefits are pretty decent, but the pay could also been so much better.

In my experience at TGH I had the opportunity to work in a variety of departments. Every position I had was based around data entry work. In my experience doing data entry I learned to hone my sense of precision and efficiency. Many of my colleagues and management acknowledged TGH being a high-stress work environment, but I generally found the atmosphere to be quite congenial. The hardest part of the job was trying to advance my status in the company. The most enjoyable part was the regular and consistent routine and the foundation it provided for my master's degree project.

Responsible for assisting the administrative department of the hospital by performing clerical jobs.

Learned that besides the patient and doctor aspect of the hospital the administrative department is just as crucial to the successful operation of each different areas of the hospital.

The hardest part of the job is the constant flow of paperwork and making sure it is done accuraetly and by the deadline. I enjoyed the constant workload and interactions with different department heads.

Everyday work as receptionist and doing reports and records for all the patients need to be attended helps me realize to grow on this 
facilities.  I learned how to deal with different types of patients and also having a multi cultural co-workers are very interesting and meaningful to me. I am very much comfortable working in a fast
paced environment. The most most enjoyable part of the job was at the end of day all task being done and having good environment.

Leadership position in a dynamic cardiovascular intensive care unit, averaging 1500 cardiac and 450 vascular surgical cases per year.  Patient care coordinators are leaders in health care teams in which collaboration is the primary responsibility and is the most rewarding and satisfying aspect of the position.  The opportunity to work closely with highly skilled professionals has provided me with the necessary skills to lead excellent teams within a challenging and rewarding health care environment.

Work environment was very professional and lot of learning for me. I enjoyed my work here.

Very fast paced work was challenging and stressful at the company.

Very friendly, professional and multicultural environment was at the company.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very hectic but lot of leaning also.

It is a fast paced job that keeps you on your feet. The benifits are good and the quality of care for patients are usually met the standards upon the individual and care that is required. We are treated well most of the time as being frontline works in a time of crisis especially during these hard times. I love working in the hospital and it makes me feel a step closer to god. Despite the wages the most rewarding thing i do is helping those in need and to bring smile to those individuals in need and spread love in their hearts.

I'm assigned at Pathology/Cytology Department front office. My day usually start with sorting and filing patients forms; helping the staff for whatever is needed;  unpacking the mail which contain surgical and cytology slides from different healthcare facilities; and then packing surgical and cytology slides to send to other healthcare facilities.
I like working with the people around here, they are helpful which give me more opportunity to learn and be more productive.
