A typical day at work to maintain & handle proprietary and confidential trader information on a daily basis. What I learned from this role was to keep calm & collected in order to solve any outstanding trade issues bring forth by traders and or my sub-ordinates. My boss & co-workers were very supportive each other through the Trading Floor closure & migrated to the electronics Trading Floor. The hardest part of the job was to assist in dealing with difficult staff, up to and including dismissals. The most enjoyable part of the job was dealing/identifying/solving trade issues/discrepancies bring forth by staff & traders.

The best part was being my own boss.  I loved the timings and the facility of after-hours trading.  I learned to follow instinct and my gut, and that life is dynamic and fast so I must keep pace and evolve with it.  This gave me good experience with responding to situations with speed.  The most challenging part of the job is knowing when to cut losses and come out of a position without looking back.

I learned the listings business, built a strategy and and business plan to develop new listings in a competitive exchange environment and improved products and services for listed companies.

You create your day how you want.  Good stepping stone on learning how to run a company finacially.  You need to know when you have to be available, follow the econemy plus your companies you are investing in.

During the last year management introduced many changes aiming at revitalization of culture and strategical shift from core business expansion to searching for the new revenue streams possibly in the adjacent business areas.

80% are incompetant bullies that should be replaced by water coolers. It would immediately improve morale, provide clearer direction to staff and improve the bottom line.

This was my first office job in Canada.  I thought it was great.  Everyone shared their knowledge and we helped each other grow in so many ways.

I've truly enjoyed being the Executive Assistant for the CEO during my contract time at this company.
Fun and not pressured as long as you do your work...annual company meetings was productive and motivating.

4 years strong, working at the stock exchange cultured me and disciplined me in organizational skills and monitoring.

Aside from the awful commute, it was an ok place to work. It's quite corporate of course so if that is your vibe, you would feel comfortable. I worked on internal projects which was frankly quite boring.
