if you want to work in a place where not a single person knows what theyre doing, with incredibly little support and understanding from management, where you have to basically beg for your overtime pay, get your work ethic ridiculed, pay for a redundant union that none of the representatives care about, and basically wait until you get manipulated to leave the position on your own accord since they cannot fire you due to said union (this has happened more than once), then this is the PERFECT place for you!! some of the best and most collaborative coworkers ive ever had sure, but the director of food and beverage needs some work on how to present herself to employees as she does not seem to know how to conduct herself well. as well quite literally everything about the management is lacking, from the fact they have zero clue what theyre doing in the specialty coffee industry and arent willing to learn or listen to any educated suggestions, to the point that they wont pay their employees properly before buying whole new equipment and produce that they dont even need. i dont even know what they need at this point but they are desperate for someone who knows what theyre doing and doesnt get obscenely high off of corporate speaking their way out of every scenario.

Typical day at work is basically running around in circles picking up after the other employees that did not finish their tasks.  The structure of the workplace itself is not a sound one, where they would rather just fly by the seat of their pants and change events at the last second.  That being said the team that I did work with in the kitchen was a good one and on a normal day would be able to get through things quickly and efficiently to make sure that members did not have to wait for their food any longer than they should.

Hardest part of the job for me was attempting to understand that focal point of the menu, mainly because there was no focal point.

Most enjoyable part of the job was the direct interaction to the members when I would cook food for them on my section which was pasta bar, which focused more on what the members wanted while allowing them to see what basically happens to their food from start to finish.  A fun experience for most people if they do not cook very often.

Do not apply to this ad if you are in the food and beverage industry. This ad looking for bartenders has been up for years because they treat their food and beverage employees as disposable. I applied for a part time job here and it started out as such and then they upped my hours to between 50 to 60 hours a week. I tried to voice my concerns to management and they did nothing to rectify the situation. They worked me into the ground to the point where i became sick. Management told me to not come in if I was sick as it was a health concern and then they fired me 1 day before my probation was up because I took some sick days.

There were also multiple instances where my schedule would be changed in the middle of the night without any type of notification or warning. I would not recommend this workplace if you value your health or work/life balance

I strongly advise against working here. The food is bland at best, and both the staff and members exhibit an off-putting sense of entitlement. There's a pervasive sense of shadiness that runs through the place, and if you don’t conform to their ways, they'll have no problem getting rid of you. The work-life balance is practically nonexistent—you’re expected to work around the clock, and the pay is just mediocre. While you’re there, expect to be watched constantly, which creates a highly stressful environment. Favoritism and entitlement are rampant, making it an incredibly unfair place to work. Tread carefully and consider looking elsewhere if you value your well-being and career.

It’s unfortunate that management doesn’t look at the bigger picture when it comes to their employees. Those who genuinely care about their work, their teams, and the success of the business seem to be overlooked or pushed aside, while the wrong people are kept in place. There’s a disconnect between wanting employees to be “happy” and the actual decisions being made. As a result, morale has declined and the overall direction of the workplace feels like it’s going downhill quickly. Don’t get rid of good staff!

Other employees are fun and friendly, however, management pays little attention to your work and do not expect a raise as in 6+ months of work it has not increased even by 1 cent. The wage was minimum and at the time of my work there the Management had troubles and conflicts with the UNION. Work hours were okay but the guests are regular members and some can be a pain and you will definitely see them the next days and they will still remember all the bad stuff. The guests can be rude and they would not care as they pay a lot of the membership, so they would treat you like (you know what).

Unfortunately, the poor reviews from years ago are still accurate to this day. Due to the current job market, many of us remain here simply because there are limited options.

The only positive aspect is that you may find a few genuinely kind and supportive staff & members.

However, the biggest downfall of this place is the management. The GM, AGM, and CFO are largely responsible for the toxic culture, and unfortunately, HR does very little to assist.

Unless you have no other employment options, I recommend saving yourself from the mental and physical toll this environment can take on you.

Extemely busy club, very high voulme in terms of food orders. I have learned cutomer service skills and how best to deal with issues and concerns. Management is lacking in terms of staff training, approach towards staff, and investing in there employees. the hardest part of the job was dealing with very high volume with not enouch staff to meet all the needs and requirements of the members. the most enjoyable part of the job is the staff and the membership.

I worked at the club for more than a year and when I started it used to be good but the longer I stayed there the worst it got. Turnover is very high at this workplace and it shows by the way the everyone treats everyone. There's always a lot of gossip, and  seniority is always being pushed around. The work place is not an ideal place to stay at for a long time. Mental health declined very quickly. Would not recommend. 

This place charges a huge amount for the membership and its full of people who don't speak english (this is not a bad thing just, there is no pressure or drive to even try) and the uniforms make us look like we work at MacDonalds.

Management are beyond idiotic, there is no leadership and the place is a shambles.

I was desperate for money, but if you are? skip this, it will only delay you making money.
