A typical day at work consists of 8-14hr shifts, and expect no breaks during those hours.

What I learned was was how far the dollar can be stretched in regards of PPE, everything was second hand and no boot allowance was provided, and getting a half mask was a hassle.

Workplace culture was no better, every operator was walking on eggshells around everyone else and will be quick to backstab the other guy to earn favour, expect disrespect and mistreatment at the minimum as it was the accepted practice during my time there 

Management was receptive and reasonable Inthe beginning ,but what I learned was there is a such thing as asking a bad question, he instantly took it as a red flag and quickly reported it against me to the superintendent without discussing as to why I asked the question in a manner that was not acceptable in his eyes.

As for training it was expected for one to learn the entirety from day one, you’ll hit the ground running and god forbid you trip once, as it will be noted and used against you, they will have no patience.

The most enjoyable part of the job is when it ended for the last time, never looked back as for them it was as good as it was going to get

A typical day is extremely busy as a trucking coordinator. This should be a 2 person position. 
I learned that safety training and safety on equipment is not important working here. I also learned 12 hour shifts are not the actual work hours, they 24 hour shifts because trucks run 24 hours. 
Senior manager goes through trucking coordinators on a regular basis because of micromanaging. Will do anything to get a load hauled up to and including putting employees and owner operators safety at risk. 
The hardest part of the job was trying to find equipment, mostly oil trailers that were mechanically sound and safe to have on the road to get loads hauled. No money invested in equipment repair. 

I am given specific loads the night before my work day, which is nice
I have learned how to load and unload fluids, super b and tri axel
I have learned how to load and unload sour seeled trailers
Management has been great
Co-workers have been great
The hardest part of my job, physically, has been dragging out several service hoses to connect to a production tank. However it keeps me fit.
I enjoy this job because I am outside but still have the comfort of heat and air conditioning depending on the weather.

Torq has downsized significantly, the majority of the employees would be operators and truck drivers.  Employees are treated fairly, wages and hours are commensurate with industry standards.

Goulet Trucking is a busy fast paced company.  Days are busy and long. I enjoyed working with the other crew members and dispatch. the shifts are 7\3 and 7\4. Early start days usually end late. Enjoyed working outside and on my own.
