The hard parts about the job was not having job security because most positions are Council approved contracts, and not having proper training for new positions, and how much my position changed over the course of the 14 months. The people are nice, positive workplace environment/culture, there are events for employees to take part in as well as team builders, and opportunities to be innovative. Work-life balance is encouraged, but not actually doable if your job is demanding or part of the senior leadership team. Some of the non-union staff staff work a lot of free OT. 
The pay is great, with the opportunity to get OT at time and a half whenever I wanted, or I could do none if I chose.

Nice place to work with good people. Trying to turn the place into a new google type operation which isn't working well. Union environment with both an office union and outside workers union so there are lots of limits on work and advancement.

Drove around Innisfil to the locations on the list and cut them as needed.  The job was not hard but on hot days made me sweat.  The environment was friendly and everyone was easy going.  Be it from the supervisors and the crew leaders to the other students, everyone was a part of a team and everyone was included.  The Town Of Innisfil treats all of its staff as if they were one big family and I would recommend this job to any of my friends and family.

High amounts of physical labor, requires focus, drive, enthusiasm, teamwork as well as responsibility. Outdoors work for the summer contract include grounds maintenance as well as beach maintenance. Winter contract includes indoor rink work (students) such as moving hockey nets on and off the ice for zamboni, cleaning changrooms for hockey etc.

I enjoyed providing customer service in person, over the phone and email.  I posted payments to accounts, balanced batches, and prepared bank deposits for cheques as well as posting online payments. Created monthly account statements and mailed them.
For the first 3 years, I was billing water accounts and performing collection processes.

Steady working on town equipment

everyday is frustrating because the refusal to modernize and hold others accountable.
on top of all of the issues in leadership the commitment or lack to health and safety is scary.

Good pay, fun environment, good work/life balance. Lots to learn and many areas to increase knowledge. Good support from peers and management on daily basis

Management works hard to make you feel welcomed and connected to your team. Management also worked with me to achieve my career goals and would problem solved issues together if needed. Very accommodating. 

Most enjoyable part of the job was the wonderful people I got to work with each and every day.

The Town of Innisfil was a great opportunity to expand my clerical skills in a Municipal environment. Daily duties included administrative tasks to various Managers, and interacting with residents about complaints for resolution and follow up.
