Enjoyed working here at first. Very unorganized at times, most of the supervisors are 16 years old. Obvious favouritism, shifts given to certain staff while other staff receive no shifts despite jobs postings indicating they are always understaffed. Equipment is always broken so it is difficult to teach properly. Passive aggressive work environment at times.

Aside from hours worked not being tracked properly, trying to be paid for all of the worked hours can be a long process. Employees are often not treated well (no time off when requested, paid for a set number of hours but expected to work more than that). Terrible customer service; I have seen client emails ignored. Overall many disgruntled employees.

There is lots of fun work and people at the town, some more fun than others like any job. Management is understanding when properly communicated with higher ups are easy to approach. some departments seem to have favoritism in terms of budget but everyone still gets their work done. 

Working within the recreation department, I got to know our patrons well within the pool and front desk work areas.  Great place to work.
Pay is at industry standard, but could be better.

The desire to serve the public at the highest level, drives the engine of the Town to get to where quality service is, at the top

Managed the development of subdivisions for the Town. Enjoyed the staff and management.
Hugh workload and long days. Met many challenges.
Involved in the development of many roads, parks and facilities.

It was good pay for what I was doing and there is room for advancement, however the days seems to drag on and the job seemed a but mundane. The management was really great though and it was a very encouraging environment.

Excellent communication between employers and employees and very flexible work shifts. It provides a good work/life balance.

a great place to work but need to work on recruitment and retention and rewarding positive behaviour and reprimanded the negative behaviours that contribute to high staff turnover

A great team of folks working in the recreation department at the programming level. Always looking for new and exciting programs to offer to residents to keep them engaged.
