From my first interaction with their HR/Recruiter, my experience and time at Hevvy/Toyo Pumps has been amazing. During the interview process, the team was transparent, easy, and honest; which I found to be very refreshing! It painted a very accurate painting as to what it would be like if I were to join their team and so far, it has been just that. 

The culture is such fun (actually), caring, easy-going, and very social. The team and management were genuinely friendly and welcoming to me. They host almost monthly social events in the office and out of the office which provides the entire team an opportunity to relax, chat, and get to know each other (during paid business hours sometimes too). The team is what makes this company so great and they have done a great job attracting great people who are talented in their field.

What I enjoy most about the company is how much they care for their team and their flexble nature. From the comprehensive safety program,  investing in the proper equipment or tools, and taking into consideration any suggestions that could improve the efficiency or safety of the team's work are a few ways I have seen the company step up. 

It has been the best company I have had an opportunity to work for and look forward to continuing to grow my career with them.

This company cares more than any other I’ve worked for about its team. I’ve seen management do more than any company I’ve ever worked for before to help out team members both personally and professionally. 
You are treated like family here and it is full of caring, talented, ambitious people who for the most part are all trying their best. Sure it’s fast paced and expectations are high but that’s the reason the company does so well I think. Also what makes it fun to work here. 
It’s not without its issues like any family but is the best place I’ve ever worked. The products are the best in the industry, the team is talented, the building has great energy and management actually cares about you. 
I’ve seen that the opposite experience would be true for those who come here with a bad attitude or poor work ethic. The company is small so everybody here counts. One thing I think the company has done well is to make sure that those who don’t fit the company’s work ethic or culture either get with the program or leave. I think that is where some of the bitter reviewers are coming from.

I was attracted to Toyo due to the friendly staff and the company being small-medium sized which allows you to work directly with the CEO and upper management team.
If you have a good attitude and put forth your best effort, you are truly appreciated. 
When I worked there I moved up within 6 months and was given a great salary as they valued how hard I worked and that I cared about the company and their success.

The benefits package there is amazing it covers many specialists and gives you a spending account per specialist, plus you get 500 dollars to spend it on fitness of wellness and you can negotiate vacation upon hiring!!

Sure there are a few bad bugs that aren't always the friendliest but you will find those people anywhere. The CEO values his employees and got rid of a bunch of the bad bugs during my time.

The team is awesome in the shop. Great group of guys who get along well and work together (such a nice change)
The shop manager can be a little particular about cleanliness and organisation but at the end of the day, we benefited from it.
Not a stressful environment to work within in regards to expectations. Can be a bit of a pain waiting on outside vendors to ship parts and components on time which then puts pressure on delivery time.
Extended benefits were great- lots of money to spend on massages, chiropractor, physiotherapy, dietitian, acupuncture etc and there were always cash bonuses handed out. 

Office team has some great helpful people who genuinely care about you. CEO is a great guy but some management has bit off more then they can chew.

Toyo is full of good people from top to bottom. I liked the CEO’s town halls because I understood where the company was going all the time. I liked the celebration bonuses when we shipped a big order out on time to our customers. I really enjoyed the energy of the building and the feel of always doing something to improve ourselves. It was also obvious that the accountants are very experienced taking their time to carefully explaining all the financial procedure and how to go about it. They confidently speak about services of the company, and if you walked in on them doing so, you might be surprised that they are just accountants and no the sales manager. That goes a long way in explaining the enthusiasm of the staffs at Hevvy/Toyo in Coquitlam, the perfect business environment you can ever think of.

I came to this company to join a team that was definitely growing fast. We were building great products but at first the purchasing procedures were not quite perfect. By the time I left things were much better and the company had created strong processes to help them grow stronger and position themselves well for even more future growth. I was happy to be a part of their journey. Have to say I’ve not seen a company adapt to change and navigate through growth so well as this one during my career. Best of luck to all my friends.

There are times when things get busy and fast-paced, but the team is supportive and it never feels unmanageable.

I don’t regret working in Toyo because at least I learned what kind of company and culture I don’t want to work anymore. Not organized in the shop, neither in the office. No procedure to work or not the right procedure to follow. Full of back stabbing in the office; the big boss only promotes the people he trusts not the people capable to do the job. Overall, whatever you can think about family owned company, Toyo is.

This company is committed to engineering and design. During my time there, i was helped to achieve my schooling financially. I was taught not to be satisfied with the status quo and push engineering design to achieve greater improvements for our customers. The CEO always was inspiring and even though I was a junior engineer I could walk into his office anytime to talk about ideas. The whole Toyo (now Hevvy) team was talented and fun to work with.
