- You will learn a lot about AWS offerings as Amazon is a partner
- The culture is to serve your manager's objectives as those have to trickle down to your objectives.
- They do not support you to go to conferences and they provide lots of friction to move products further as you have to sell and convince management (decision makers) on ideas to make enhancements to product suites, even if there isn't a cost associated. Management have a "if it aint broke, we won't fix it" mentality.
- best part of the job is having all the AWS services at your finger tips, but you must gain trust in order to gain this access.
- worst part of the job is to always have to convince untrusting "boss" type leadership to win their confidence and approve your ideas and recommendations.
- maintain a great relationship with these managers and you're on a golden path. - convince business units why you want to make an enhancement and ask them to create a business demand for it, this then lies on the manager to make it happen. business units, vendor support are much more collaborative than your manager. 

The management is what makes this place not worth considering. They do not treat people with respect, they're manipulative and create a stressful, dishonest work environment. This place lacks leadership!

While I worked there everyone was extremely negative and did not enjoy their jobs or even lives for that matter because of their jobs. Everyone was always complaining about management and how things are so unfair, tons of favouritism, certain people always picking up others duties and doing their jobs etc. 

The morale overall was the worst I've seen at any company I've been a part of. The culture there consists of everyone trying to stomp on you in order to get ahead or be viewed as more valuable. The true hard workers are not rewarded or seen as such. The turnover here is only what it is because they pay higher than other typical Warehouse jobs, otherwise it would be sky high, but even with the better pay its not worth it, trust me!

I could go on and on about why not to work here but do yourself a favour and don't waste your time.

A typical day at Toyota Canada is engaging and collaborative. As a Legal Consultant for Customer Relations, I handle diverse matters that keep me constantly learning and developing new skills. I’ve learned the value of balancing legal knowledge with customer-first solutions. Management is approachable, supportive, and always willing to listen. The workplace culture is inclusive, professional, and built on respect and teamwork. The hardest part of the job is navigating complex customer issues, but it’s also the most rewarding — seeing resolutions that strengthen trust. The most enjoyable part is working with such a dedicated team and knowing my role makes a meaningful impact.



I’ve been here long enough to know the company can offer stability if you’re planning to stay for the long haul — I genuinely came in expecting to retire here. But over the years, I’ve also watched many new hires tell me they regret joining within months. The culture is uneven depending on the team, the workload can be heavy because the organization runs extremely lean, and support from management varies wildly. Day-to-day, you end up doing work well outside your role, and leadership doesn’t always have the skills or direction to match their titles. The hardest part is seeing good people burn out. The enjoyable part is the coworkers who keep things moving despite the structure working against them.

Toyota was an innovative company with a lot of attention on customer care and dealers. The whole IT department worked as a team. On a normal day we I would deal with scheduling for the day and night, applying emergency changes, dealing with user scheduling requirements, updating UAT environments and dealing with Sev1 and Sev2 alerts. Toyota used different processes that made the company work efficiently.
   I found the management worked will. They were easy to work with and got things done. The people I worked with day to day were excellent. We all got along and apprised each other of activities effecting our team.  At times recommendations for changes were not taken even though this is an innovative company. Over all I enjoyed the great people I worked with.

Most days were spent firefighting—scheduling, chasing emergency changes, and dealing with Sev1 and Sev2 alerts. The work itself was fine, but management didn’t really listen. They would call Toyota “innovative,” but inside IT a lot of ideas went nowhere. Too much red tape, too many meetings, and when you make suggestions, they are ignored unless it comes from higher up. The best part was my coworkers—hard-working, helpful, and supportive. The worst part was leadership acting like they wanted change but never backing it up. After a while it felt like you’re just running in circles.

Toyota has gone way downhill since I started. It was fun in the beginning I like the rotating shifts the money was good things where going great till COVID hit then upper management one of the separate everybody into morning shifts and evening shifts and that's when things went downhill. They were probably already starting to go downhill but covet amplified it and now it's a terrible place to work and I don't recommend anybody working here until something's happened with the management or there's some kind of giant upper management purge. There's probably going to read this review and I'm probably going to get fired over it 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Some of the staff are nice and they do have fun corporate events 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The customers on the phone. As well as the lack of training that was offered when I started. Without training mistakes were always made. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
During the on season it was stressful… the company thrives on work life balance but there was none… they didn’t care about your well being 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Come in … work lunch and then work and go home

When I worked at Toyota Canada it was on contract. The pay was fine. The TL running the department was petty and always spoke behind her employees backs.  The other TL. actually applied for a job at a lower rank to get out of the toxic atmosphere. He is now doing well in another department. 
There were employees on contract for twenty or 30 years that were not invited to The holiday party. When it was your birthday they would invite all the full time employees to a lunch and give presents. Not so for contract employees. They are good about talking about Kaizen but have no self awareness in how they treated their contract employees. 

It is a great organization to be part of. It can be very frustrating to try a get advancement. Top heavy management and very few people leave. If you looking to get great experience, it a good company to learn lots. The difficulty comes if you don’t align yourself with the right person, you will go no where. But that isn’t much different from any corporation. HR department is great. They try to do allot of great work, but are hindered by key executive that pull all the strings. Interview process takes weeks if not months because executive micro management everything.
