I'm currently an afternoon shift employee but was on days when hired on.  When i first joined the team it was great co-workers were fantastic and helpful! the workload was stable and everything was organized and clean for the most part.  Now is a real struggle as we have an enormous workload which has pressed on all co-workers resulting in tensions throughout the team.  We do as much as we can but we are stressed and has been affecting workers abilities to work together.  My view on dayshift is that they have a new team everyday and afternoon shift are the only "employees" and upper management, for obvious reasons, presses on noons to get more work done because days consists solely of temp workers.  Management seems to just not care and make any attempt to somehow fix all this. the issue is brought up and they shrug at it.  What few  employees i still get along with are great and still helpful through this mess if you manage to get along with some people it's a huge bonus and will definitely help you out until the end.  Also the stock levels are a mess too not enough room for forklift drivers to drive anywhere safe and get the things they need without bumping into each other or parts.  End. 

This is about the division on fountain street in Cambridge ON. Avoid this place at all costs. They make you believe it's such a great place but after you start to work there it becomes quite apparent it's just the opposite. The turn over rate for employees is insane "Here today gone tomorrow". My advice is stay away from here because of the mismanagement, lies and game playing. They like to say they're paying the higher end wage but don't tell you what you have to do or go through to earn it. 

The mid level management are a complete joke. These are the people who have been working there so many years (because they couldnt make it anywhere else). These are the types where if you show any initiative or intelligence they feel threatened then do everything in their power to get you pushed out. Certain individuals in the mid management are also the types to be backstabbing the employees and to play the favouritism card. 

All in all a very bad place to work for such a small place with such a small staff. AVOID WORKING HERE AT ALL COSTS IF YOU'RE SMART

The Christmas raffle and getting a week off in December and July 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The  that you get no support, if you hurt yourself you are pushed to get back to your regular duties even if you are not ready and still in pain/feeling sick, certain group leaders will try to get personal information about you from other workers such as your relationship statues and who you are sleeping with.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Extremely toxic and very  controlling management 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You go in, see your schedule, and more days then not they will abuse the stronger workers and put them on all heavy and fast jobs for the full 9 hours and then the weaker workers get put on the easy and light jobs

I worked here for 6 months when this warehouse first opened. It was a pretty good place to work at first but after a while, you start to see the company's true colours. The management was quite toxic and two-faced and their were multiple times where I felt the need to stand up for myself as I was being taken advantage of. Management also doesn't take the time to see how they can help their employees succeed but rather give them a hard time and make things worse for them. Managment also loved to come up with new dumb little rules suddenly every day that they expected all employees to follow. They also made the employees work constantly day shift or constantly night shift where I believe the Toyota plant allows their employees to switch those shifts every couple of weeks. I did enjoy most of the employees I got to work with though and it felt like an encouraging team to work with. 

Initially, this was one of the best companies to work for. After 6 years, the work environment started to become toxic. Today, if you know what your doing your forced to quit or terminated. Job security is non existent. What I thought was a good wage turns out to be below average. Management is unable to assist since they don’t know how any of the processes work. The inventory errors are a daily occurrence and if their customers knew, the would drop this company in the trash where it belongs. This company has ceased following any Japanese traditions and they are without honour. Rumour is this location will be shut down within the next 12 months. 

If your into mind games and want to waste some time, this is the place for you. Have fun while you can :)

Overall, the job at Toyota Tsusho is straightforward and well-structured. The tasks are clearly explained, and the training is thorough, so you feel confident in what you’re doing. The pay is fair for the work, and the environment is stable and consistent.

The biggest challenge is the night shift—it can be tough on your schedule and makes it hard to maintain a personal life. However, if someone is looking for reliable, steady employment with clear expectations and solid training, I would definitely recommend this job.

The job is pretty easy to learn and can be fun. It does require total focus, integrity,  and a drive to push yourself because little mistakes can have a huge negative impact on overall production. However, leadership team and other teammates are there to offer help when necessary so no need to worry or stress. The starting pay is good and there are multiple bonuses throughout the year as well as gifts during holidays. Management is easy to get a hold of and everyone has an opportunity to be heard. Coworkers are hardworking and nice and willing to help. There is also rotation, so you don’t get bored of being stuck at the same place. Overall, a good, fun and hardworking, secure job.

Normally the day started with meetings for regular routine work and new assignments.Then follow up were taken by seniors to achieve the task well. I learnt about international logistics, inventory control and coordination during my tenure. The top management were also very easy going and some times recognized the performance through appreciation.The tough part was the communication with Japanese staff because they were less versed with English language. However, there were lot of parties in the company for achieving better profits or celebrating festivals were extremely enjoyable.

I have worked here for the past 7-years and have enjoyed it.  Everyone is friendly helpful when you need support.
There are many recognition practices in place to reward over and above effort.
We also recognize individuals who have led change thru for the company and have introduced kaizens to either save costs or be more efficient.

I have been able to travel for my position and visited Japan, Germany and many other places which I have enjoyed.
