I worked there for almost a year and i didn't like it because i wanted to become team lead and the manager at the time kept trying to put it off and then decided to hire a new set of people and offered one of them the position i was asking for, for about 3 months. Then after almost a year of working there and him finding new people as well one of the new employers i hate threatened to kick my butt and my husbands and my manager at the time didnt feel like that was a threat and a harrassement so i felt unsafe and didnt like being at work anymore so i quit

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Often short staffed, which leads to high stress and long hours for those who work there. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
In the year I've been there I've had 2 different store managers, 6 ASMs and more Team Members than I can count. It steams from poor leadership at the top and the fact they don't pay us nearly enough to deal with the amount of stress we go through on a daily basis.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Only those who are mentally and physically strong last more than a few months here.

Tractor Supply would be a better company  to work for if the pay was better. There is the physical demands of Stocking the animal food and other supplies  at Tractor Supply.  Loading on to customers vehicles in any kind of weather.  Getting into the back of truck trailers (which are very slippery, especially in wet weather) to load hay and Alfalfa. 
Most times by yourself and it can be many bails at a time. Variety  of customers,  from friendly to the ones that seem to feel it's your job to do their shopping for them. 

Lean companies that staff at the barest minimum can not provide the level of customer service required to drive a successful business. Employees are over worked and expected to endure heavy lifting (100+lbs) without aid. management utilized egg timers and processes to drive employee production. No product training or support. Bonuses are promised until the store actually makes their quota then the bar is moved until the store can no longer achieve it.
The worst retail experience that I ever endured.

It was relaxed in the aspect of we live in a town where agriculture farming and ranching are very prevalent.
No one micromanaged which was an awesome plus. However, most of us didn’t know quite a bit about the wants and needs of our demographic.  I absolutely love this job.

Way too much drama and such a high turnover rate, every couple months the whole store was all new coworkers. Management didn’t support, help, report, or help me file charges after getting assaulted on five different occasions. Two were by a coworker and on camera but complete lack of support.

I worked at this location for well over a year and in that time we went through 3 different stores managers, 8 or more assistant managers, and we had new hires almost daily. The job was extremely stressful, they never honored my days off (I was called almost every day off), the pay being laughably poor. It all boiled down to extremely poor upper management, starting with the District Manager. I wouldn't recommend working here to my own worst enemy. 

Focus on customer reviews, which required customers to answer roughly 50 questions.  Who has time for that?  Live or die by answers such as "did a team member ask you what you were looking for"?  Fun store to work in if you like retail work, but some expectations were unrealistic.  Overall, however, it was a pleasant environment and terrific customer base.

It’s a fun place to work but the pay is way to low and advancements are not offered to often and neither are raises. If the pay was actually given based off of what your experience I would stay but they ask way to much and pay to little. But I did like my co workers and manager

my typical day of work is the same as any other day in the week. Same stuff everyday. Its also a battle of the management, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. i Learned how to take care of the customer. Learned how to drive and operate the forklift.
