One of the things that immediately impressed me when i started was that there were many employees who had worked at Tradex Foods for 8 years, 12 years and 15 years+.

Many years ago,  when deciding if i would accept the job or not, I decided that the benefits of working at Tradex must out weigh any negatives because people stayed with the company for a long period of time.   Many years later, I can honestly say that my hypothesis was accurate.

Tradex provides the opportunity for hard working individuals, who want to work in a great work environment with room for advancement, security and success.

One of the best things about Tradex is the executive mangement, they are always open to ideas and ways of doing things in a more productive and efficient manner.   Everyone's input counts and is respected.

Tradex Foods is very successful and in my opinion does everything in their power to grow and become more successful.   I can see nothing but growth and success on the horizon.    I would not hesitate to recommend working here to anyone who wants to take their career to the next level and beyond!

I have read many reviews of employees that leave Tradex Foods for one reason or another.  The key to any career is to like what you do, embrace the program and seek success.  Worrrying about others, complaining, doing non work related tasks during work days, and not achieving goals, targets or tasks will always make any job less enjoyable when held accountable.  With sales, and related tasks, the ability to perform daily and create opportunities creates great rewards while maintaining hours that allow for substantial personal time as well. This job has treated me very fairly throughout my career.  Despite the often negative reviews written by people who did not create their own success story, I recomend this company if you believe in yourself and your ability to work hard and create opportunities.

Tradex was one of my first jobs out of university - at the time my job was mostly data entry and I was still searching for what I wanted to do for my career. Flash forward to many years later - I am still here and have made this my career job through hard work and advancement, with the support and encouragement of management. 
 
To be successful at Tradex you need to stay focused, take pride in your work, and be able to work as a team. My ideas and opinions seem to be heard and appreciated by both middle and upper management.

I was hired into the creative marketing department and while I haven't been working for Tradex for long, I've already seen immense personal and professional growth.

Be warned, this company is a revolving door of employees.  Your job will be to cold call and try to sell fish to people who don’t want to buy fish from Tradex.  Management will set pricing, which is typically above market. Your sales style and strategy will never be good enough for the managers in the office.  These guys have literally blasted through hundreds of staff. Everything from ex-sales managers to former executives - all of which left this place running.   Tradex Foods is a 6 dressed up like a 9.  Ask them how many employees they have had in the past 5 years vs how many have stayed over the last 10. Good luck.  

Every day is different here, and we are constantly challenged to learn and grow. Relatively small office so you get to learn a little bit about each department. Management respects hard workers and the benefits reflect that. I would say Tradex feels like a family and I am happy to be a part of it. Lots of room to advance and take on tasks that interest or inspire you. Would recommend this company to anyone who takes pride in good work and likes to keep learning. The environment is similar to a trading floor which can be exciting but sometimes stressful of course.

Tough gig this job with the lack of management support and the fact that we try to sell things we don't even own. Secure an order only to have management squash the deal, refusing to grant credit terms. News flash guys, not everybody has $100k to shell out. Yet being traders, apparently we as a company do not either. Very glad to be out of that toxic environment, and hopefully the handful of people who were let go this week in the Victoria office feel the same way. Save your time and stay away from this place, trust me you will be doing yourself a favour.

Change starts from the top and indeed it does. There are rough areas that are being fixed with the addition of a new manager and HR manager. The CEO is obviously very open to new ideas and opinions and he leaves everyone with their own creative freedoms. Most importantly there's a fundamental trust in everyone's abilities which allows us to do our jobs properly and really allow our hearts to be involved in the work we do. I'm hopeful that this positive momentum continues. We are a team and it's great we all act like one. I can't wait to have more people join the family and contribute to our positive work environment everyone is trying so hard to build.

In the office at 6am or earlier, chained to the desk until 12pm (no breaks) one hour lunch and dismissed at 3pm, unless there is more work to be done.
