Typical day. Get load if they have one for you. Drive! It’s pretty much a standard trucking company. Pay is on the low side. Benefits are on the low side. Dispatch helps when they can give you on the spot help via telephone, but will give you a hard time if it means they have to do extra work. They also have a hard time keeping you in the loop for what your doing. You go all around Canada and the US. Lots of loads are to construction sites where there are no docks. You are just parked on the street and they pull from your trailer using chains or other equipment. It’s ok until you get to a big city and your blocking traffic. The best part is when things are going ok and you don’t hear from anyone for a few days.

Resent Employee; Had incredible experience with them for over Eight years they treated Me very well two yrs ago they were taken over by huge logistics firm kind  of down hill from there, Eguipment/Truck and trailers very good and good In shop service program!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I had issues with Slower than posted speed programs while in the USA, BUT TRUCKS THEMSELVES WERE NICE AND WARM DURING EINTER MONTHS !

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I had no issues I didn't fined it stressful you make it that way only by your own hand! MY days were good, until I came down to about the last (3) months employed .

What is the best part of working at the company?
There isn't anything good about them. They don't care about their drivers to them drivers are a dime a dozen. Management in Calgary is a joke.

Putting up with stupidity from dispatch to management 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Tense. Every driver I know has a complaint about one thing or another 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
As I work in the city Dispatch has no idea what is going on can't keep track of anything and think everything only takes 5 minutes to do.

City drivers run GTA daily for extremely low wages.  They promise runs they don't have to get drivers hired.  No choice of runs or hours regardless of experience.   No sign on bonus, safety bonus or chance of advancement regardless of performance.  The company cares more about the office staff than the drivers.  Poor equipment and maintenance.  Little to no training for new hires.  Absolutely no opportunity for driver's imput.  Poor winter maintenance in the yard.  Yard lacks standard safety features such as security, cement pads for trailers and walkways for drivers.

They run all over the country but the worst freight by far is the North West and BC. I just don't like to run there and with late model equipment - it's a nightmare of breakdowns and delays which the companies forces you to sign rediculous aggreements as to not pay for breakdown time, waiting times and hours of service reset times on the road in frigit weather.

Most enjoyable part was quitting.

The work is simple  and knew what kind of work to expect.

Didn't know what rules to follow.

Seemed to get in trouble for doing well.

Regular maintenance,  regular needing parts, regularly figuring it out yourself.

When you go home show favor to drivers that suck up to office staff

Most everything  never tell the truth about most things

Not good new drivers get all the garbage loads

Equipment problems and failures with dispatch

Very well managed company who balanced customer needs with driver needs effectively.  Wages were at the top end of industry standards.  Equipment very well maintained with problems looked after in a timely fashion

Everyone at the Ayr terminal is great to work with. Very approachable with the perfect sense of humour. The miles per week are excellent, it’s not forced dispatch and they treat their drivers as humans. Can not recommend this company enough to any new or experienced drivers that are looking for a nice change of scenery and great pay!

Great company to drive for. Enjoyed my time there. Very accommodating when it came to routes but remember nothing is perfect, dispatch was always more than helpful.  Service team were outstanding. When ever you route took you through Ontario you would be routed to the maintenance facility. They always understood the speed to revenue and got you back on the roads asap. Loved it
