•	Register arriving guests, and assigning rooms
•	Take, cancel and charge room reservations
•	Process telephone calls while providing information on hotel facilities and services
•	Provide general information and point of interest in the area
•	Process wakeup calls, investigate and resolve complaints and claims
•	Exchange foreign currency, process departures, calculate charges and receive payments
•	Balance cash--following with completing cash reports and related forms
•	Maintain occupancy status, while following safety and emergency procedures
•	Perform clerical duties such as faxing, filing, photocopying and keyboarding

Cleaning, Maintaining equipment, Repairing Pluming was a plus, Just the feeling of doing a good jobs was Satisfying. Sitting at the Table Twice a week to get the main problems off the way and to maintain a great environment for customers to stay at. Keeping up to code was the most important code we worked by. Train the staff was great, showing them how i did it and then watch them to it and some times we would work together to get the vibe rite on doing the rooms rite, and then when the new trains new what to do they would be trusted what to do. The day by day work was easy and some days it would be hot and sweaty.

I would come in and start bringing out the dinner buffet food items. 
Including desert and salad bar. I would then start taking drink orders from patron and taking menu orders. Clearing tables, making sure everyone got their food orders. At the end of each shift I clear all tables the wash all the dishes before the end of each shift. I also help with the banquet events which didn't seem that bad cause I just had to clear people plates and make sure they water or coffee was topped up. The banquets were fun and rewarding.

Productive and organized work space. Staff is kind and caring. Management is understanding and tries hard to work around your health and personal life. The hardest part of the job is dealing with unsatisfied customers. The most enjoyable part of the job is having a second family you can rely on. I learned to delegate my time well and how to professionally talk to a customer who is unhappy. I learned to be quick on my feet and problem solve.

Learnt how to meet various breakfast needs of guests. Weekends we very busy as many times the hotel was sold out. Management was quiet understanding and appreciated good work with incentives. Hardest part of job was that it was in early morning with no assistance especially on weekend when the hotel was sold out.

The main clerk steals all the tips from the rooms before the housekeepers who do all the work have a chance to even get in the rooms, she is more often snarky and rude and very unpleasant to work around. Most of the housekeepers themselves are kind people, but over all not a great place to work if you want any sort of chance for advancement.

I enjoyed my time working at the Tavellodge, wasn't there for long but I did learn a few things and the staff there are all so friendly.  Definitely a nice place to work

I would go into work start the rooms and get them done in a timely manner. I is important to be clean and to follow the guidelines. Management was great to work with. The hardest thing was the bending and making sure the rooms were done on time. The most enjoyable was meeting new people.

there was stress in the workplace and it showed through the managers attitudes toward employees, There was unnecessary amounts of pressure and negativity, an not enough employee recognition to maintain a healthy balance in the workplace.
